The Samuel Proctor Oral History Program
2015 Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program! SPOHP’s
work is supported by our volunteers and community partners. We are always looking
for dedicated and energetic volunteers! We accept volunteers throughout the year, and
request a minimum time commitment of 4 hours per week.
Volunteering is based on a flexible schedule, and volunteers are able to get involved with
a variety of different projects and work goals, including oral history processing, audio
logging, archive organization, and program outreach.

Information for Volunteers with Disabilities
 The University of Florida is committed to providing academic accommodations for students with
disabilities. Students with disabilities requesting accommodations should first register with the
Disability Resource Center (352-392-8565, www.dso.ufl.edu/drc/) by providing appropriate
documentation. Once registered, students should present their accommodation letter to the internship
coordinator supporting a request for accommodations. The University encourages students with
disabilities to follow these procedures as early as possible within the semester.
