There’s Gold in that Poop
Remember the story about the good news and bad news? The bad news is that the
aliens are here. The good news is that they eat trash and poop gold. Well, the aliens
are here,, and yes they poop gold among other things.
Humans are the aliens. If you don’t believe me, just ask a deer sometime. Well, human
feces contains gold and other precious metals that could be worth hundreds of millions
of dollars, experts say. Now the trick is how to retrieve them — a potential windfall that
could also help save the planet.
"The gold we found was at the level of a minimal mineral deposit," said Kathleen Smith,
of the US Geological Survey, after her team discovered metals such as platinum, silver
and gold in treated waste.
A recent study by another group of experts in the field found that waste from one million
Americans could contain as much as $13 million worth of metals.
Finding a way to extract the metals could help the environment by cutting down on the
need for mining and reducing unwanted release of metals into the environment. "There
are metals everywhere — in your hair care products, detergents, even nanoparticles
that are put in socks to prevent bad odors."
If the waste treatment industry can be modified slightly to get rid of some of the
nuisance metals that currently limit how much of these biosolids we can use on fields
and forests, and at the same time recover valuable metals and other elements, that's a
win-win. I redesigned a waste treatment system when I was at Toyota to collect
Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium from waste water. It was so good that the water
could be run down the sanitary sewer when the process was completed.
More than seven million tons of biosolids come out of US wastewater facilities each
year: about half is used as fertilizer on fields and in forests and the other half is
incinerated or sent to landfills.
Smith and her team are on a mission to find out exactly what is in our waste.
"We have a two-pronged approach," said Smith. "In one part of the study, we are
looking at removing some regulated metals from the biosolids that limit their use for land
application.
"In the other part of the project, we're interested in collecting valuable metals that could
be sold, including some of the more technologically important metals, such as vanadium
and copper that are in cell phones, computers and alloys."
The findings were presented at the 249th National Meeting & Exposition of the
American Chemical Society (ACS), the world's largest scientific society, taking place in
Denver through Thursday.
Peer Reviewed: Better check the Peers
A major publisher of scholarly medical and science articles has retracted 43 papers because of
“fabricated” peer reviews amid signs of a broader fake peer review racket affecting many more
publications.
The publisher is BioMed Central, based in the United Kingdom, which puts out 277 peerreviewed journals. A partial list of the retracted articles suggests most of them were written by
scholars at universities in China, including China Medical University, Sichuan University,
Shandong University and Jiaotong University Medical School. But Jigisha Patel, associate
editorial director for research integrity at BioMed Central, said it’s not “a China problem. We get
a lot of robust research of China. We see this as a broader problem of how scientists are
judged.”
Meanwhile, the Committee on Publication Ethics, a multidisciplinary group that includes more
than 9,000 journal editors, issued a statement suggesting a much broader potential problem.
The committee, it said, “has become aware of systematic, inappropriate attempts to manipulate
the peer review processes of several journals across different publishers.” Those journals are
now reviewing manuscripts to determine how many may need to be retracted, it said.
Peer review is the vetting process designed to guarantee the integrity of scholarly articles by
having experts read them and approve or disapprove them for publication. With researchers
increasingly desperate for recognition, citations and professional advancement, the whole peerreview system has come under scrutiny in recent years for a host of flaws and irregularities,
ranging from lackadaisical reviewing to cronyism to outright fraud.
Last year, in one of the most publicized scandals, the Journal of Vibration and Control, in the
field of acoustics, retracted 60 articles at one time due to what it called a “peer review and
citation ring” in which the reviews, mostly from scholars in Taiwan, were submitted by people
using fake names.

Ivan Oransky and Adam Marcus, the co-editors of Retraction Watch, a blog that tracks research
integrity and first reported the BioMed Central retractions, have counted a total of 170
retractions in the past few years across several journals because of fake peer reviews.
“The problem of fake peer reviewers is affecting the whole of academic journal publishing and
we are among the ranks of publishers hit by this type of fraud,” Patel of BioMed’s ethics group
wrote in November. “The spectrum of ‘fakery’ has ranged from authors suggesting their friends
who agree in advance to provide a positive review, to elaborate peer review circles where a
group of authors agree to peer review each others’ manuscripts, to impersonating real people,
and to generating completely fictitious characters. From what we have discovered amongst our
journals, it appears to have reached a higher level of sophistication. The pattern we have found,
where there is no apparent connection between the authors but similarities between the
suggested reviewers, suggests that a third party could be behind this sophisticated fraud.”
In a blog post yesterday, Elizabeth Moylan, BioMed Central’s senior editor for research integrity,
said an investigation begun last year revealed a scheme to “deceive” journal editors by
suggesting “fabricated” reviewers for submitted articles. She wrote that some of the
“manipulations” appeared to have been conducted by agencies that offer language-editing and
submission assistance to non-English speaking authors.
“It is unclear,” she wrote, “whether the authors of the manuscripts involved were aware that the
agencies were proposing fabricated reviewers on their behalf or whether authors proposed
fabricated names directly themselves.”
Patel, in an interview, said the peer review reports submitted “were actually very convincing.”
BioMed Central became suspicious because they spotted a pattern of unusual e-mail addresses
among the reviewers that seemed “odd” for scientists working in an institution. Also odd was the
fact that the same author was reviewing different topics, which did not make sense in highly
specialized fields.
Ultimately, when they tracked down some of the scientists in whose names reviews were
written, they found that they hadn’t written them at all. Someone else had, using the scientists’
names.
“There is an element of exploitation,” Patel said. “If authors are naive and want to get their
manuscripts published, they can be exploited” by services into paying the fees. The services,
she said, may be offering to “polish up manuscripts” and perhaps even guaranteeing
publication.
“This is a problem not just for publishers to resolve,” she said. Journals, research institutions
and scholars “need to get together. It is part of the broader pressure to publish that’s driving
people to do this.”
In its statement, the Committee on Publication Ethics said: “While there are a number of wellestablished reputable agencies offering manuscript-preparation services to authors,
investigations at several journals suggests that some agencies are selling services, ranging
from authorship of pre-written manuscripts to providing fabricated contact details for peer
reviewers during the submission process and then supplying reviews from these fabricated
addresses. Some of these peer reviewer accounts have the names of seemingly real
researchers but with e-mail addresses that differ from those from their institutions or associated
with their previous publications, others appear to be completely fictitious.”
The BioMed Central articles in question now carry retractions attached that say: “The Publisher
and Editor regretfully retract this article because the peer-review process was inappropriately
influenced and compromised. As a result, the scientific integrity of the article cannot be
guaranteed. A systematic and detailed investigation suggests that a third party was involved in
supplying fabricated details of potential peer reviewers for a large number of manuscripts
submitted to different journals.”
The BioMed Central list of retracted articles so far identifies 38 of the 43 published papers. They
all have highly technical names and topics, such as “Pathological dislocation of the hip due to
coxotuberculosis in children” and “A meta-analysis of external fixator versus intramedullary nails
for open tibial fracture fixation.”
Evolution: The Law of the Land?
To teach evolution at the University of Kentucky is to teach at an institution steeped in the
history of defending evolution education. The first effort to pass an anti-evolution law (led by
William Jennings Bryan) happened in Kentucky in 1921. It proposed making the teaching of
evolution illegal. The university’s president at that time, Frank McVey, saw this bill as a threat to
academic freedom. Three faculty members—William Funkhouser, a zoologist; Arthur Miller, a
geologist who taught evolution; and Glanville Terrell, a philosopher—joined McVey in the battle
to prevent the bill from becoming law. They put their jobs on the line. Through their efforts, the
anti-evolution bill was defeated by a 42–41 vote in the state legislature. Consequently, the
movement turned its attention toward Tennessee.
John Thomas Scopes was a student at the University of Kentucky then and watched the efforts of
his three favorite teachers and McVey. The reason the “Scopes Monkey Trial” occurred several
years later in Dayton, Tennessee—where Scopes was a substitute teacher and volunteered to be
prosecuted—was in good part due to the influence of his mentors, particularly Funkhouser. As
Scopes writes in his memoir, Center of the Storm: “Teachers rather than subject matter rekindled
my interest in science. Dr. Funkhouser ... was a man without airs [who] taught zoology so
flawlessly that there was no need to cram for the final examination; at the end of the term there
was a thorough, fundamental grasp of the subject in bold relief in the student’s mind, where
Funkhouser had left it.”

I was originally reluctant to take my job at the university when offered it 20 years ago. It
required teaching three sections of nonmajors biology classes, with 300 students per section, and
as many as 1,800 students each year. I wasn’t particularly keen on lecturing to an auditorium of
students whose interest in biology was questionable given that the class was a freshman
requirement.
Then I heard an interview with the renowned evolutionary biologist E.O. Wilson in which he
addressed why, as a senior professor—and one of the most famous biologists in the world—he
continued to teach nonmajors biology at Harvard. Wilson explained that nonmajors biology is
the most important science class that one could teach. He felt many of the future leaders of this
nation would take the class and that this was the last chance to convey to them an appreciation
for biology and science. Moved by Wilson’s words, and with the knowledge that Funkhouser
once held the job I was now contemplating, I accepted the position. The need to do well was
unnerving, however, considering that if I failed as a teacher, a future Scopes might leave my
class uninspired.
I realized early on that many instructors teach introductory biology classes incorrectly. Too often
evolution is the last section to be taught, an autonomous unit at the end of the semester. I quickly
came to the conclusion that, since evolution is the foundation upon which all biology rests, it
should be taught at the beginning of a course, and as a recurring theme throughout the semester.
My basic biology for nonmajors became evolution for nonmajors. It didn’t take long before I
started to hear from a vocal minority of students who strongly objected: “I am very offended by
your lectures on evolution! Those who believe in creation are not ignorant of science! You had
no right to try and force evolution on us. Your job was to teach it as a theory and not as a fact
that all smart people believe in!!” And: “Evolution is not a proven fact. It should not be taught as
if it is. It cannot be observed in any quantitative form and, therefore, isn’t really science.”
Answers for Creationists

We live in a nation where public acceptance of evolution is the second lowest of 34 developed
countries, just ahead of Turkey. Roughly half of Americans reject some aspect of evolution,
believe the Earth is less than 10,000 years old, and that humans coexisted with dinosaurs. Where
I live, many believe evolution to be synonymous with atheism, and there are those who strongly
feel I am teaching heresy to thousands of students. A local pastor, whom I’ve never met, wrote
an article in the University Christian complaining that, not only was I teaching evolution and
ignoring creationism, I was teaching it as a non-Christian, alternative religion.
There are students who enroll in my courses and already accept evolution. Although not yet
particularly knowledgeable on the subject, they are eager to learn more. Then there are the
students whose minds are already sealed shut to the possibility that evolution exists, but need to
take my class to fulfill a college requirement. And then there are the students who have no
opinion one way or the other but are open-minded. These are the students I most hope to reach
by presenting them with convincing and overwhelming evidence without offending or alienating
them.
During one lecture, a student shouted that Darwin denounced evolution on his deathbed.
Some students take offense very easily. During one lecture, a student asked a question I’ve heard
many times: “If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?” My response was and
is always the same: We didn’t evolve from monkeys. Humans and monkeys evolved from a
common ancestor. One ancestral population evolved in one direction toward modern-day
monkeys, while another evolved toward humans. The explanation clicked for most students, but
not all, so I tried another. I asked the students to consider this: Catholics are the oldest Christian
denomination, so if Protestants evolved from Catholics, why are there still Catholics? Some
students laughed, some found it a clarifying example, and others were clearly offended. Two
days later, a student walked down to the lectern after class and informed me that I was wrong
about Catholics. He said Baptists were the first Christians and that this is clearly explained in the
Bible. His mother told him so. I asked where this was explained in the Bible. He glared at me
and said, “John the Baptist, duh!” and then walked away.
To truly understand evolution, you must first understand science. Unfortunately, one of the most
misused words today is also one of the most important to science: theory. Many incorrectly see
theory as the opposite of fact. The National Academy of Sciences provides concise definitions of
these critical words: A fact is a scientific explanation that has been tested and confirmed so many
times that there is no longer a compelling reason to keep testing it; a theory is a comprehensive
explanation of some aspect of nature that is supported by a vast body of evidence generating
testable and falsifiable predictions.
In science, something can be both theory and fact. We know the existence of pathogens is a fact;
germ theory provides testable explanations concerning the nature of disease. We know the
existence of cells is a fact and that cell theory provides testable explanations of how cells
function. Similarly, we know evolution is a fact and that evolutionary theories explain biological
patterns and mechanisms. The late Stephen Jay Gould said it best: “Evolution is a theory. It is
also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing
certainty. Facts are the world’s data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret
facts.”
Theory is the most powerful and important tool science has, but nonscientists have perverted and
diluted the word to mean a hunch, notion, or idea. Thus, all too many people interpret the phrase
evolutionary theory to mean evolutionary hunch. Not surprisingly, I spend the first week of class
differentiating theory from fact, as well as defining other critical terms.
Some colleagues ask why I bother, as if I’m the one who’s the provocateur. I remind them that
evolution is the foundation of our science, and we simply can’t shy away from explaining it. We
don’t avoid using the “g-word” when talking about gravitational theory, nor do we avoid the “cword” when talking about cell theory. So why avoid talking about evolution, let alone defending
it? After all, as a biologist, the mission of advancing evolution education is the most important
aspect of my job.

Rarely do I have a Kentucky student who learned about human evolution in high school biology.
Those who did usually attended high schools in large urban centers like Louisville or Lexington.
Given how easily it can provoke parents, the teaching of human evolution is a rarity in high
school, so much so in Kentucky that it startled me when I first arrived.
The story of our evolutionary history captivates many of my students, while infuriating some.
During one lecture, a student stood up in the back row and shouted the length of the auditorium
that Darwin denounced evolution on his deathbed—a myth intentionally spread by creationists.
The student then made it known that everything I was teaching was a lie and stomped out of the
auditorium, slamming the door behind him. A few years later during the same lecture, another
student also shouted out from the back row that I was lying. She said that no transitional fossil
forms had ever been found—despite my having shared images of many transitional forms during
the semester. Many of her fellow students were shocked by her combativeness, particularly when
she stormed out, also slamming the door behind her. Most semesters, a significant number of
students abruptly leave as soon as they realize the topic is human evolution.
After a semester filled with evidence of evolution, one might expect that every last student would
understand it and accept it as fact. Sadly, this is not the case. There are those who remain
convinced that evolution is a threat to their religious beliefs. Knowing this, I feel an obligation to
give my “social resistance to evolution” lecture as the final topic.
This lecture lays down the history of the anti-science and anti-evolution movements, the
arguments made by those opposing evolution, and why these arguments are wrong. I make it
clear that one can accept evolution and maintain his or her religious beliefs. They are not
mutually exclusive. In fact, 77 percent of all American Christians belong to denominations that
support the teaching of evolution, and several high-profile evangelical Christians are ardent
defenders of it, including former President Jimmy Carter and Dr. Francis Collins, director of the
National Institutes of Health. Even Pope John Paul II acknowledged the existence of evolution in
an article he published in the Quarterly Review of Biology, in which he argued that the body
evolved, but the soul was created. Pope Francis has made it clear that he accepts evolution as
well.
Creativity for Creationists
How evangelical Christianity can be compatible with evolution.
This lecture should put students at ease knowing that religion and science need not be at odds. Of
all the lectures I give, this one provokes the most discussion after class. Yet it often results in
students expressing concern that I might not be saved. I never say anything about my personal
religious beliefs, yet it is assumed I am an atheist. One student told me she hoped I could find
God soon. Several simply let me know they will be praying for me and praying hard. One
student explained that as a devout Catholic he had no choice but to reject evolution. He accused
me of fabricating the pope’s statements. When I explained that he could go to the Vatican
website for verification or call the Vatican to talk to a scientist, he insisted that there was no such
information available from the Vatican. He then pointed his finger at me and said the only way
he would believe me is if then–Pope John Paul II came to my class to confirm these quotes faceto-face. The student then stomped out, again slamming the auditorium door behind him.
I’m occasionally told my life would be easier if I backed off from my relentless efforts to
advance evolution education. Maybe so. But to shy away from emphasizing evolutionary biology
is to fail as a biology teacher. I continue to teach biology as I do, because biology makes sense
only in the light of evolution.

And it’s a message that sometimes gets through. There’s one student I can remember in
particular who took my freshman seminar on evolutionary medicine. He was an ardent
evangelical Christian who believed in the literal truth of biblical creation. The seminar was very
hard on him, and he struggled with the information, questioning and doubting everything we
read. Several years later, our paths crossed, and we stopped for what turned out to be a long, easy
chat. Now a doctor, he explained to me that, at the time, he was so upset with my seminar that he
attended a number of creationists’ public lectures for evidence I was wrong. He said he found
himself embarrassed by how badly these individuals perverted Christian teachings, as well as
known facts, to make their argument. He wanted me to know that he came to understand he
could be a Christian and accept evolution. Then he did something that resonates with any
teacher: He thanked me for opening his eyes, turning his world upside down, and blurring the
line between black and white.
Cyberdyne Systems: The End is Near
When it comes to computerized robots and artificial intelligence (AI), it's time to be
afraid — be very afraid.
The latest scientific luminary to join those voicing such fears for the future is Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak, who told the Australian Financial Review (AFR): "Computers
are going to take over from humans, no question."
Wozniak is not the only super-rich, super-intelligent person to express these worries. He
joins Tesla Motors and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and
British genius physicist Stephen Hawking in expressing similar concerns of a
"Terminator" future when super-intelligent computers discover that humans are not as
smart as they are and, therefore, it's time to take over.
"Like people including Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk have predicted, I agree that the
future is scary and very bad for people. If we build these devices to take care of
everything for us, eventually they'll think faster than us and they'll get rid of the slow
humans to run companies more efficiently," Wozniak told AFR.
"Will we be the gods? Will we be the family pets? Or will we be ants that get stepped
on? I don't know about that."
Wozniak expressed concern about quantum computers, theoretically, so far, capable of
running extremely complicated calculations at dazzling speed.
"In the end, we just may have created the species that is above us," he said.
Gates commented on Reddit, "I am in the camp that is concerned about super
intelligence. First the machines will do a lot of jobs for us and not be super intelligent.
That should be positive if we manage it well. A few decades after that, though, the
intelligence is strong enough to be a concern. I agree with Elon Musk and some others
on this and don't understand why some people are not concerned."
Musk has pledged $10 million to the Future of Life Institute (FLI) for research grants to
study the negative implications of AI.
He told students at the AeroAstro Centennial Symposium at MIT: "With artificial
intelligence, we are summoning the demon. In all those stories where there's the guy
with the pentagram and the holy water, it's like, yeah, he's sure he can control the
demon. Doesn't work out.
"I think we should be very careful about artificial intelligence. If I had to guess at what
our biggest existential threat is, it's probably that. So we need to be very careful. I'm
increasingly inclined to think that there should be some regulatory oversight, maybe at
the national and international level, just to make sure that we don't do something very
foolish."
QZ quoted Musk as saying: "In the movie 'Terminator,' they didn't create A.I. to…they
didn't expect, you know, some sort of 'Terminator' like outcome."
Hawking told the BBC that AI "would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever
increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn't compete,
and would be superseded.
"The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race."
Dark Matters: The Subconscious of the Universe
In previous Picture of the Day articles about the existence of “dark matter,” it was noted
that it is an add-on, or ad-hoc, theory because the lack of luminous matter in the
Universe is a problem for “Big Bang cosmology.” The Big Bang is supposed to be what
brought all matter and energy, including gravity, into existence. All modern
cosmologists, with few exceptions, accept the theory without question.
NASA launched the Planck Mission on May 14, 2009. The instruments onboard the
satellite were designed to measure temperature fluctuations theorized to exist in lower
mass density regions of the Universe. Since the Big Bang theory does not account for
such regions—matter and energy should be evenly distributed—Planck was sent to
confirm their existence, supporting the dubious results from the WMAP mission.
According to conventional physics, dark matter is a necessary addition to their models
since there is not enough gravity in the Universe to account for galaxy formation, or
those galaxies assembling themselves into clusters. Galaxy clusters should have
slowed down considerably over the last few billion years and not maintained such wild
recessional velocities, some of which are said to approach the speed of light.
Astronomers came up with a dark (or undetectable) form of matter when they noticed
stars on the edge of a spiral galaxy orbiting its nucleus with the same angular speed as
stars closer to its center. As Newtonian mechanics insists, stars farther away from the
center should be moving more slowly, so astronomers assumed dark matter was
imparting extra velocity to them.
Studies from Case Western Reserve University in Great Britain cast doubt on the
theories of dark matter, saying that they are most likely based on incorrect assumptions
about WMAP observational analysis. Stacy McGaugh, an astrophysicist there wrote:
“Until both known and un-anticipated astrophysical sources are excluded as reasons for
the observed signal, claims about it being due to dark matter are exaggerated at best.”
Electric Universe theory, on the other hand, adopts a far different approach regarding
the nature of the cosmos. Astrophysicist Hannes Alfvén elucidated his “electric galaxies”
theory in 1981. Alfvén (a Nobel laureate) noticed that galaxies and their motions
resemble a homopolar motor. A homopolar motor operates because electric currents
create magnetic fields, causing a metal disc to spin at a rate directly proportional to the
supplied current.
Galactic discs act like the conductive plates in said homopolar, or Faraday, motors,
named for their inventor, Michael Faraday. Gigantic Birkeland currents flow into
galaxies, so stars in their discs are powered by those currents. Galaxies, in turn, receive
their power from intergalactic Birkeland currents that are visible in space as filamentary
structures traceable by their magnetic fields.
Birkeland currents are drawn toward each other with long-range attraction greater than
the force of gravity. Dark matter (and dark energy) influences can be dismissed when
electric currents flowing through dusty plasma are recognized as that which energizes
and sustains clusters, galaxies, and stars.
Filaments in nebulae suggest charge separation in space.
The Orion Nebula is visible to the naked eye in the constellation Orion; it is the second
star in Orion’s sword. Astrophysicists believe several formations in the cloud are starforming regions because high frequency light emanates from many active areas.
Gamma rays, X-rays and ultra-violet are coming from “cosmic eggs”: what appear to be
the glowing tips of condensed gas balls that have “ignited” in fusion reactions.
Conventional astronomers do no know how stars through off clouds of gas and dust that
eventually become other stars. Primarily, because stars are not made of gas and dust.
A star is the focus of Birkeland currents that make up circuits flowing around the galaxy.
Electromagnetic pinches squeeze plasma into a star, forming a toroidal current around
the star’s equator. Current density causes plasma in the ring to glow. The Electric
Universe explains such phenomena in terms of plasma structures, and they behave
according to the laws of electrical discharges and circuits.
Instead of mechanical action and cold gas, the Orion Nebula’s radiant new stars were
created in a boost of electric current. It is not necessary to prevent young stars from
heating up by shielding them in cold dust. The electrical sheath around a new star
receives input from the galactic Birkeland currents in which it is immersed and gets
pushed into the “glow” discharge state. Gravity has little if anything to do with the
processes of star formation.
The consensus view is that cold dust is a necessary ingredient when stars condense
out of nebulae. When gas and dust start to collapse into a new star it naturally warms
up and radiates energy. As the theory states, outward pressure is created that opposes
the inward force of gravity. If the outward force wins and overcomes the force of gravity,
the atoms in the gas will never be compressed enough to undergo nuclear fusion.
However, if the dust in the nebula is cold enough, it allows the heat created in the
gravitational collapse to be radiated away, therefore a new star can ignite.
On the other hand, when the Electric Universe theory is considered, cold nebulae are
evidence of electrical activity even at temperatures near absolute zero. Bipolar
symmetry is typical of most nebulae, and most of them are dense enough to emit light
because they are extremely hot in some regions. The middle of the Orion nebula is cold:
radio measurements indicate that dust clouds around the inner part are only one degree
above absolute zero. The center of the nebula is visible because dust particles reflect
light from the star.
The correct model for a nebula is a neon lamp that emits light only at the excitation
frequency of that specific gas. Electricity passing through the tube causes the neon
plasma to glow a pale yellow. Astronomers say a shock wave from a supernova is able
to initiate many frequencies of light due to the heating of compressed gas. But, since
more than 90% of the light from planetary nebulae is in the frequency range of ionized
oxygen, then they should be thought of as oxygen discharge tubes and not as clouds of
gas.
Astronomers have infected physicists with the “hot gas” theory, causing a 50 year failed
experiment with nuclear fusion. Squeezing hot gas into a volume small enough for
fusion to take place has not worked. Utilizing theories of plasma’s collective qualities
might be a more productive path.

Hydrogen Bomb Physicist to Feds: Disclosures in My Book Leaked Long Ago
A new memoir by hydrogen bomb physicist Kenneth W. Ford has caught the eye of the
Department of Energy, which worries it may disclose some of the nation's nuclear
secrets.
The New York Times reported this week that while some of the nuclear information
contained in his 10th book, "Building the H Bomb: A Personal History," may technically
be under wraps, it leaked into the public arena long ago.
That doesn't mean that people like Michael Kolbay, a classification officer at the agency,
don't worry that the book might aid countries, terrorists, or other foreign entities in their
nuclear aspirations. Last year, after reading early drafts of the book, Kolbay said in an
email to Ford that his descriptions of the "design nuances of a successful thermonuclear
weapons program" could "encourage emerging proliferant programs."
Ford, 88, said he took pains to make sure he was not disclosing anything new about the
hydrogen bomb or its development.
"[I]n preparing his book, Dr. Ford deeply mined [the] shadowy world of public
information," wrote The Times. "For instance, the federal agency wanted him to strike a
reference to the size of the first hydrogen test device — its base was seven feet wide
and 20 feet high. Dr. Ford responded that public photographs of the device, with men,
jeeps, and a forklift nearby, gave a scale of comparison that clearly revealed its overall
dimensions."
In total, the agency ordered Ford to make 60 cuts that ranged from single sentences to
many paragraphs. Of particular concern was the book's lucid descriptions of thermal
equilibrium, the discovery that hydrogen fuel and radiation could maintain equal
temperatures during a detonation.
The discovery has been publicly known for years, however, but Ford agreed to some
adjustments suggested by the agency.
Entangled Particle Theory is a Fact
In a paper published in the journal Nature Communications, CQD Director Professor
Howard Wiseman and his experimental collaborators at the University of Tokyo report
their use of homodyne measurements to show what Einstein did not believe to be real,
namely the non-local collapse of a particle's wave function.
According to quantum mechanics, a single particle can be described by a wave function
that spreads over arbitrarily large distances, but is never detected in two or more
places.
This phenomenon is explained in quantum theory by what Einstein disparaged in 1927
as "spooky action at a distance", or the instantaneous non-local collapse of the wave
function to wherever the particle is detected.
Almost 90 years later, by splitting a single photon between two laboratories, scientists
have used homodyne detectors—which measure wave-like properties—to show the
collapse of the wave function is a real effect.
This phenomenon is the strongest yet proof of the entanglement of a single particle, an
unusual form of quantum entanglement that is being increasingly explored for quantum
communication and computation.
"Einstein never accepted orthodox quantum mechanics and the original basis of his
contention was this single-particle argument. This is why it is important to demonstrate
non-local wave function collapse with a single particle," says Professor Wiseman.
"Einstein's view was that the detection of the particle only ever at one point could be
much better explained by the hypothesis that the particle is only ever at one point,
without invoking the instantaneous collapse of the wave function to nothing at all other
points.
"However, rather than simply detecting the presence or absence of the particle, we used
homodyne measurements enabling one party to make different measurements and the
other, using quantum tomography, to test the effect of those choices."

ways, thus proving its existence and showing that Einstein was wrong."

(Phys.org)—Light behaves both as a particle and as a wave. Since the days of Einstein,
scientists have been trying to directly observe both of these aspects of light at the same
time. Now, scientists at EPFL have succeeded in capturing the first-ever snapshot of
this dual behavior.
Quantum mechanics tells us that light can behave simultaneously as a particle or a
wave. However, there has never been an experiment able to capture both natures of
light at the same time; the closest we have come is seeing either wave or particle, but
always at different times. Taking a radically different experimental approach, EPFL
scientists have now been able to take the first ever snapshot of light behaving both as a
wave and as a particle. The breakthrough work is published in Nature Communications.
When UV light hits a metal surface, it causes an emission of electrons. Albert Einstein
explained this "photoelectric" effect by proposing that light – thought to only be a wave –
is also a stream of particles. Even though a variety of experiments have successfully
observed both the particle- and wave-like behaviors of light, they have never been able
to observe both at the same time.
A research team led by Fabrizio Carbone at EPFL has now carried out an experiment
with a clever twist: using electrons to image light. The researchers have captured, for
the first time ever, a single snapshot of light behaving simultaneously as both a wave
and a stream of particles.
The experiment is set up like this: A pulse of laser light is fired at a tiny metallic
nanowire. The laser adds energy to the charged particles in the nanowire, causing them
to vibrate. Light travels along this tiny wire in two possible directions, like cars on a
highway. When waves traveling in opposite directions meet each other they form a new
wave that looks like it is standing in place. Here, this standing wave becomes the
source of light for the experiment, radiating around the nanowire.

This is where the experiment's trick comes in: The scientists shot a stream of electrons
close to the nanowire, using them to image the standing wave of light. As the electrons
interacted with the confined light on the nanowire, they either sped up or slowed down.
Using the ultrafast microscope to image the position where this change in speed
occurred, Carbone's team could now visualize the standing wave, which acts as a
fingerprint of the wave-nature of light.
FATCA
Hidden within H.R. Bill #2847, is a little-known provision known as “FATCA.”
The first part of this law went into effect last year. The rest of it will roll out, piece by piece,
through the end of 2018.
Few Americans have any clue about what this is—but FATCA actually stands for the “Foreign

how you can get your cash out of the bank. Many small banks have reportedly followed
suit.
We’ve heard several reports already of banks now refusing to accept American citizens’
deposits. And this trend is likely to accelerate rapidly in the months to come.
But most importantly, this law may signify that a true currency crisis is much closer than
most people think in America.
This new law is a clear example of what are known as “Capital Controls.” And this is
exactly what broke and desperate governments do when they know the value of their
currency is about to collapse.

Human Genome Project
(Phys.org)—There is a whole lot more to the textbook mitochondrial genome then once
was thought. A case in point is a multifunctional peptide named humanin that is dualencoded deep within 16S ribosomal RNA gene in the mtDNA. Pinchas Cohen's lab was
one of three labs that simultaneously co-discovered humanin when screening for
proteins that may be involved in Alzheimer's, IGF-1 signaling, and apoptosis. Cohen's
group just published a report in Cell Metabolism where they described another
mitochondrially derived peptide, this time encoded within the 12S RNA-c gene, which
has also has some useful properties. A mere 16 amino acids in length, they have
demonstrated that this MOTS-c peptide as they call it (mitochondrial open reading
frame of RNA-c) has dramatic effects on obesity and insulin resistance.
Before barreling ahead about the wonders of MOTS-c, we should probably say a bit
more about humanin and mitochondrial translation in general. The final working length
of humanin depends on where it was produced. If it was made inside the matrix using
mitochondrial translation hardware its ends up being 21 amino acids long. If made
outside mitochondria in the cytosol it will be 24 amino acids long. Both the tRNAs and
rRNAs from mitochondria can end up getting transported into the cytosol, however, the
mechanism and logic behind these processes is not yet understood.
In a previous post we noted that there are similarities between some nuclear encoded
tRNAs (like met-tRNA) and the analogous met-mt-tRNAs, and therefore asked what it
would take for mitochondrial to utilize nuclear tRNAs, and similarly vice-versa. The
authors recognized the possibility that short peptides, like MOTS-c in particular, might
be of nuclear origin due to the well-known phenomenon of nuclear mtDNA transfer
(NUMT). After doing so-called BLAST searches they were not able to find any putative
NUMT-derived peptides with complete homology to MOTS-c, but a search using human
expression sequence tags (EST) found several hits for homologous mRNA sequences
to the mitochondrial 12S rRNA locus.
This is a somewhat confusing state of affairs to say the least. Rats, for example, don't
have any NUMT sequences for MOTS-c, making mtDNA its exclusive source. For the
case of humanin (which in rats the homologous peptide is called, as you may have
anticipated, 'rattin' ), other research has turned up at least 10 nuclear-encoded
'humanin-like' peptides expressed in human tissues. For short length peptides it may be
difficult to conclusively say that these are cases of mitochondrial transfer, ie NUMTs, or
just sequence convergence effects.
As for the question of where MOTS-c is made, its translation obligatorily occurs in the
cytoplasm via the standard genetic code. This is because translation using the
mitochondria-specific genetic code would yield tandem start and stop codons—hardly a
useful message. The authors therefore reasonably suggest that the MOTS-c
polyadenylated transcript is exported from the mitochondria. As for how MOTS-c is
involved in obesity and diabetes, they point to altered gene expression of enzymes
involved in the folate-methionine cycle and de novo purine synthesis. These results
came from their microarray analysis and metabolomics profiling studies.
The full complexity of the mtDNA code, now unravelling before us, reflects the unique
genetic systems of the mitrochondrion's bacterial ancestors. As we begin to
comprehend the entire mitochondrial transcriptome, including its many small RNAs, we
will be better equipped to evaluate potential fertilization outcome for issues like
mitochondrial transfer in the creation of three parent embryos. Inclusive in any such
discussion of effectively editing an entire mitochondrial genome in this blunt way would
be consideration of the effects of new and contentious genome-editing techniques as
they would be applied to mitohcondria themselves.
When we raised the question above about the potential for internexed mito- and
nuclear- translation, we also noted recent research on the historically deep multi-read
sequences of ribosomal subunits themselves which keynotes aspects of overlapping
RNA codes. Although not fully vetted, nor rejected, it may be worthwhile to take a
deeper look into that particular ribosome model, where the ribosome itself is a
microcosm encoding a complete set of tRNS and accessory proteins, to better
understand the origins of the larger genetic system we possess.

Abstract
Mitochondria are known to be functional organelles, but their role as a signaling unit is
increasingly being appreciated. The identification of a short open reading frame (sORF)
in the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) that encodes a signaling peptide, humanin, suggests
the possible existence of additional sORFs in the mtDNA. Here we report a sORF within
the mitochondrial 12S rRNA encoding a 16-amino-acid peptide named MOTS-c
(mitochondrial open reading frame of the 12S rRNA-c) that regulates insulin sensitivity
and metabolic homeostasis. Its primary target organ appears to be the skeletal muscle,
and its cellular actions inhibit the folate cycle and its tethered de novo purine
biosynthesis, leading to AMPK activation. MOTS-c treatment in mice prevented agedependent and high-fat-diet-induced insulin resistance, as well as diet-induced obesity.
These results suggest that mitochondria may actively regulate metabolic homeostasis at
the cellular and organismal level via peptides encoded within their genome.

against targets in the territory of various countries has become an everyday
occurrence.
Thus, in the period from June 2004 to September 2012 from 2562-3325 civilians were
killed by drone air strikes in the territory of Pakistan [estimates vary]. Not to mention the
destabilization by the US of Libya, Syria, Egypt, and also Ukraine, where the
government is formulated by US vice president Joe Biden, and where the weaponry and
the killing of civilians in Donbass and Lugansk is directed by American instructors.
And for those of you who worry over the welfare of the friendly Ukrainian people, I recall
that there are many countries in this world who not only lack democracy, but lack even
the basic necessities of life, several countries of Africa, for instance. Why is there no
concern for their problems? Why is there only concern over democratic freedoms in
countries that border Russia: Georgia, Ukraine?
I often ask myself, Why the American interest in Ukraine? Representatives of our
country defended it from the Fascist invaders. More than three and one half million of
our soldiers died defending Ukrainian lands from the Nazis. But at this very time, some
NATO generals often showing up in Kiev today are representatives of countries that
once, allied to the armies of the Third Reich, fought with the Ukrainian people.
The Ukrainian state arose out of the Soviet Union. It was together with the Ukrainians
that Russians, Jews, Georgians, Chechens, and Armenians rebuilt that post-war
Ukrainian Soviet Republic. Not one American dollar was spent of the development
and rebuilding of Ukraine after WWII. Since ancient times, Moscow and Kiev built the
state together; to this day, Russians and Ukrainians are fraternal peoples.
From this it follows that the US has no business advising Russia how to conduct itself
with neighboring and friendly people. The supply of weapons to Ukraine will be viewed
by us as a signal to act accordingly. We will begin delivery of new weapons to
Mexico to resume debate on the legal status of territories annexed by the US,
namely the American states of California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah,
and portions of Wyoming.
We reserve the right to hold conferences in Russia, Mexico, and America with
agendas about the liberation of these states from the US, and the supply of
weapons to the partisans there.
Serious second thoughts are called for, and leaving aside, at last, the imperial idea of
your grandness and impetuosity, taking up an even dialog with our country. It's the only
way can we reach mutually beneficial coexistence on this planet.
Honest, diplomatic collaboration is the operative factor in the international doings of
Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the entire country is with him. The head of the

firm manufactured the C-36 mechanical cryptograph machine that Damm had patented.
After Damm’s death, and just before World War II, Cryptoteknik came under the control
of Boris Hagelin, an early investor, and during the War essentially operated in
the United States, where 140,000 units were made under licence as C-38 (see M-209).
In the early 1950s, it was transferred from Stockholm to Zug as a result of a planned
Swedish government nationalisation of militarily important technology/contractors, and
was incorporated in Switzerland in 1952.

Crypto AG has been accused of rigging its machines in collusion with intelligence
agencies such as the German Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND) and the United
States National Security Agency(NSA), enabling such organisations to read the
encrypted traffic produced by the machines.[3]Suspicions of this collusion were aroused
in 1986 following US president Ronald Reagan‘s announcement on national television
that, through interception of diplomatic communications between Tripoli and the Libyan

service personnel were killed and another fifty injured. President Reagan then ordered

Further evidence suggesting that the Crypto AG machines were compromised was
revealed after the assassination of former Iranian Prime Minister Shahpour Bakhtiar in
1991. On August 7, 1991, one day before Bakhtiar’s body was discovered, the Iranian
Intelligence Service transmitted a coded message to Iranian embassies, inquiring “Is
Bakhtiar dead?” Western governments were able to decipher this transmission, causing
Iranian suspicion to fall upon their Crypto AG equipment.[4]
The Iranian government then arrested Crypto AG’s top salesman, Hans Buehler, in
March 1992 in Tehran. It accused Buehler of leaking their encryption codes to Western
intelligence. Buehler was interrogated for nine months but, being completely unaware of
any flaw in the machines, was released in January 1993 after Crypto AG posted bail
of $1m to Iran.[5] Soon after Buehler’s release Crypto AG dismissed him and charged
him the $1m. Swiss media and the German magazine Der Spiegel took up his case in
1994, interviewing former employees and concluding that Crypto’s machines had in fact
repeatedly been rigged.[6]
Crypto AG rejected these accusations as “pure invention”, asserting in a press release
that “in March 1994, the Swiss Federal Prosecutor’s Office initiated a wide-ranging
preliminary investigation against Crypto AG, which was completed in 1997. The
accusations regarding influence by third parties or manipulations, which had been
repeatedly raised in the media, proved to be without foundation.” Subsequent
commentators [7][8][9][10] are unmoved by this denial, stating that it is likely that Crypto
AG products were indeed rigged.
The Question of Confirmation
We have on our hands another case of “super-state” terrorism. The “Jews” didn’t do it,
it wasn’t the NSA or the “Illuminati.” As it looks now, fingers should point to “the
banks.” But then, who are “the banks?” What is their mechanism of power?
I think we have seen the answer to that one, certainly Crypto AG and their partners, not
simply “Siemens,” are a good place to begin. Those who access, control and use
critical data on world financial and diplomatic communications are a bigger threat than
any normal terror group.
That they think nothing of downing airliners to defend themselves is nothing. They
wage war and sponsor state terrorism as a daily matter of course. 150 lives is nothing
to them.
In all likelihood, the cabin crew of the ill fated GermanWings flight could simply
have entered the cockpit at any time. If the plane were programmed specially to
disallow this normal capability of the Airbus320 series, the airline has failed to
inform the public of this.
This information is “confidential” as it would be a theoretical aid to hijackers.
Problem is, there are no hijackers, only security agencies that seem to enjoy stealing
planes, shooting them down or taking control of their guidance systems. The hijack
scenario makes for good TV and convenient cover stories where “dead men tell no
tales” and crash scenes are always quickly secured and “seeded” as needed.
Our suicide story is just a new twist on an old tale.
In order to add to the explosion of information about the recent air event over France,
we have done some simple research on the operation of the cockpit door of an A320.
We have published, below, the operations manual. We also have the following
language, taken from the flight crew manual used by Royal Jordanian Airlines, an
organization kind enough to have passed this on:

A forward-opening hinge door separates the cockpit from the passenger compartment.
It has three electric locking strikes, controlled by the flight crew. In normal conditions,
when the door is closed, they remain locked. When there is a request to enter the
cockpit, the flight crew can authorize entry by unlocking the door, that remains closed
until it is pushed open.
When the flight crew does not respond to requests for entry, the door can also be
unlocked by the cabin crew, by entering a two to seven-digit code (programmed by the
airline) on the keypad, installed on the lateral side of the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP)
There are additional questions as to the possibility of a time delay that could disable the
keypad, one that can be programmed by the airline itself but it not required and totally
optional.
This would mean that it is likely, based on the level of informality at Germanwings, no
delay was programmed into the keypad. This would mean that the cabin crew, by this
we mean flight attendants, would have the entry code for the cockpit and would most
likely be able to enter at will even if the door were in the lock position.
There is a reason we are publishing this, information that previously was not
allowed to be in public hands:
The moment, over 24 hours ago, it was mentioned that the “pilot” was “pounding
and screaming,” in an attempt to enter the cockpit, this information became of
vital public interest. Additionally, as soon as the false information was released
that air controllers were unable to contact the crew of the plane, it should have
been mentioned that crew members have satellite phones available.
Rather than pounding on a door, the pilot might well have been on the phone
asking NORAD to land the plane for him.
These phones are usually in each of the crew areas, fore and aft galleys and often
sitting out in the open. A reference is made in this aero-medical flight manual:
Diagnosis
For anything other than a very minor medical complaint, the Purser or In-Charge Flight
Attendant will normally make a PA announcement asking if there is a doctor or other
qualified medical professional (nurse, paramedic etc) on board. If there is a positive
response, the medical professional will be asked to assess the patient and to advise the
crew of the best course of action.
In the absence of a medical professional (or as a concurrent protocol), many air carriers
have a standing arrangement with emergency medical service providers such as Med
Link, Stat MD orMed Aire. These service providers can be used both pre-flight and inflight and can be contacted via satellite phone, high frequency (HF) or very high
frequency (VHR) radio phone patch through an ARINC station or by means of Aircraft
Communications, Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) equipment. By one of
these methods, direct communication with an emergency room/trauma centre physician
is possible.
Anti-Hijack System
Again, we mention the same thing we brought up during the disappearance of MH370:
Modern “fly by wire” planes have, for years, had auto-land systems onboard that are in
place to keep planes from being hijacked and crashed into nuclear power plants. We
are told the planes can land using this system in winds up to 30 knots.
We also know that a controlled crash in an area that would cause minimal collateral
damage is the second course of events this system is programmed for.
With stories about depression and girl friends being pushed onto the public and very
little salient information being given out, information which as usual inexorably leads to
unpleasant answers, we have decided to broaden the debate.
All reporting, which for awhile seemed almost rational to a point, has been replaced by
agenda driven lies and cover stories. It has begun again.
Iran Nuke Deal Just Got Better
Iran and six world powers have reached provisional agreement on key parts of a deal
sharply curtailing Tehran's nuclear programme, Western diplomats in talks in
Switzerland said Sunday.
One of these diplomats said Iran had "more or less" agreed to slash the number of its
centrifuge machines by more than two-thirds and to ship abroad most of its stockpile of
nuclear material.
As negotiators in Lausanne raced to nail down by midnight Tuesday the outlines of a
deal, due to be finalised on June 30, the diplomats cautioned however that things may
change.
Iranian diplomats however denied that any tentative agreement on these points has
been struck, saying that any reports of specific number of centrifuges and exporting its
stockpiles were "journalistic speculation".
"The fact is that we will conserve a substantial number of centrifuges, that no site will be
closed, in particular Fordo. These are the basis of the talks," the Iranian diplomat said.
A senior member of the Iranian negotiating team said that the "publication of such
information by certain Western media is aimed at creating an atmosphere to disturb the
negotiating process".
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a dire warning Sunday about a
possible nuclear accord with Iran as talks in Switzerland towards the outline of a deal
intensified days before a deadline.

"The dangerous accord which is being negotiated in Lausanne confirms our concerns
and even worse," Netanyahu said in remarks broadcast on public radio.
He said the "Iran-Lausanne-Yemen axis" was "dangerous for all of humanity" and that
combined with Tehran's regional influence, a nuclear deal could allow Iran to "conquer"
the Middle East.
Israel, widely assumed to have nuclear weapons itself, is concerned that a deal that six
powers are trying to agree the contours of by midnight on March 31 will fail to stop Iran
from getting the bomb.
Iran, hit hard by international sanctions, denies wanting nuclear weapons and insists
that its atomic programme is purely for peaceful purposes. Israel, not Iran, is the real
regional danger, Tehran says.

In Lausanne meanwhile, US Secretary of State John Kerry cancelled plans to leave for
an event in Boston on Monday in order to keep negotiating, the State Department said.
His French and German counterparts, Laurent Fabius and Frank-Walter Steinmeier,
both due in Kazakhstan on Monday, have followed suit, diplomats said.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Lausanne on Sunday morning. Russian
and British top diplomats Sergei Lavrov and Philip Hammond were expected later,
completing the line-up of foreign ministers from the six powers.
Kerry met again early Sunday with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the
latest in a flurry of closed-door discussions at a luxury hotel in the Swiss town.
Asked afterwards if he was going to get a deal, Kerry said: "I don't know."

"It's going all right. We're working," he added.
- Guarded optimism Officials have expressed guarded optimism that after 18 months of tortuous negotiations
and two missed deadlines that a breakthrough might be in sight for a deal ending 12
years of tensions.
"If we manage to resolve all the remaining issues today or in the next two to three days,
then we can begin to draw up a text. But for the moment we are still in discussions," a
source close to the Iranian delegation said Sunday.
Steinmeier said Saturday the talks were in the "endgame" but added that "the final
metres are the most difficult but also the decisive ones".

The aim is to agree broad outlines for an accord by Tuesday's midnight deadline, and
then flesh out a series of complex annexes containing all the technical details by June
30.
The mooted deal would see Iran scale down its nuclear programme and allow
unprecedented inspections of its remaining activities.
The hope is to prolong the theoretical "breakout" time that Iran would need to produce
enough fissile material to build a nuclear bomb to at least a year from the current
estimate of several months.
This would require a combination of slashing the number of machines producing nuclear
material, converting the capacities of existing nuclear plants such as the underground
Fordo facility, exporting its stocks of enriched uranium and limiting the development of
newer, faster equipment.
But Iran is insisting that in exchange global powers must lift sanctions that have choked
its economy by strangling its oil exports and banks.

The issue of UN sanctions is proving particularly thorny, diplomats said, with global
powers insisting the sanctions should be eased only gradually to ensure that they can
be "snapped" back into place if Iran violates the deal.
"The brinksmanship in these negotiations will no doubt continue until the 11th hour,"
said Ali Vaez, an expert at the International Crisis Group.
Kerry is under pressure to return from Lausanne with something concrete to head off a
push by Republican lawmakers to introduce yet more sanctions, potentially torpedoing
the whole negotiating process.
Russia has also warned that US-supported airstrikes by Iran's foe Saudi Arabia on Iranbacked rebels in Yemen -- hence Netanyahu's comment -- were "having an impact".
"We hope that the situation in Yemen will not bring about a change in the position of
certain participants," said Russia's chief negotiator, Sergei Ryabkov, quoted by Ria
Novosti news agency.

Behind the saga of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal email account and the messages
said to no longer exist is the implication that she has something to hide.

None of her critics – at least those among congressional Republicans pushing her to
reveal more – have come right out and said she purposely destroyed politicallydamaging evidence that could hamper any plans to run for president next year.
But that’s the impression left among her political rivals, an impression that can be said
to be of her own creating.
Friday the 26th of March was the deadline for Mrs. Clinton to respond to a congressional
subpoena for emails and documents related to Libya, including the 2012 attack on a US
diplomatic compound in Benghazi that killed the US ambassador and three other
American personnel. The intention to disobey the subpoena was clear when she
ordered the server electronically wiped clean by a professional service.
The subpoena was from the House Select Committee on Benghazi, chaired by Rep.
Trey Gowdy (R) of South Carolina. Rep. Gowdy’s statement Friday is worth reading in
its entirety:
“After seeking and receiving a two week extension from the Committee, Secretary
Clinton failed to provide a single new document to the subpoena issued by the
Committee and refused to provide her private server to the Inspector General for the
State Department or any other independent arbiter for analysis.
“We learned today, from her attorney, Secretary Clinton unilaterally decided to wipe her
server clean and permanently delete all emails from her personal server. While it is not
clear precisely when Secretary Clinton decided to permanently delete all emails from
her server, it appears she made the decision after October 28, 2014, when the
Department of State for the first time asked the Secretary to return her public record to
the Department.
“Not only was the Secretary the sole arbiter of what was a public record, she also
summarily decided to delete all emails from her server ensuring no one could check
behind her analysis in the public interest. This violates Title 18 Section 2071 which
states: “(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or
destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any
record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with
any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any
judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned
not more than three years, or both. (b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record,
proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully
conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined
under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his
office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in
this subsection, the term "office" does not include the office held by any person as a
retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.”
It also violates Section 1519: “Whoever knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals,
covers up, falsifies, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object
with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper
administration of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the
United States or any case filed under title 11, or in relation to or contemplation of any
such matter or case, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 20 years,
or both.”
“In light of the Secretary’s unprecedented email arrangement with herself and her
decision nearly two years after she left office to permanently delete all emails and
because the equities at stake involve not only those of the Select Committee and
Congress more broadly, but also those of the American people and their right to the full
record of her tenure as secretary of State, we will work with the leadership of the House
of Representatives as the Committee considers next steps. But it is clear Congress will
need to speak with the former Secretary about her email arrangement and the decision
to permanently delete those emails.”
If Benghazi seems a long way off to most Americans, it’s very much at the center of
Clinton’s time as secretary of state – and therefore at the center of her record as a
potential presidential candidate. Thus do Benghazi and the long-gone emails come
together, whether or not those emails would have revealed anything startling.
A CNN/ORC poll earlier this month gives an indication of the challenge she faces.
A slight majority of those polled thinks her use of a private rather than government email
system is a “very serious” or “slightly serious” problem, that she’s done something
wrong, and that she hasn’t done enough to explain herself. Asked whether the way she
handled her email “is an important indicator of her character and ability to serve as
president,” 46 percent say “yes” and 52 percent say “no.”
A recent CBS poll is bit better for Clinton, but has the seeds of trouble as well. “Most
Americans (65 percent) say their opinion of Clinton has not changed in the wake of
the email controversy, but 29 percent say their opinion of her has grown worse,” CBS
reported.
Much will depend on how she handles the issue from here on out. Expect Rep. Gowdy
to be dogged in his quest for more information.
“The Benghazi panel has already said it will bring Clinton in to testify at least twice –
once privately about her email use while at State and at another public hearing on the
Obama administration’s reaction to Benghazi,” Politico reports. “The House Oversight
and Government Reform Committee has also signaled plans to investigate Clinton’s use
of private email.”
In the mean time, her brother profits from the only gold mine in Haiti, the rights for which
he got shortly after Hillary’s visit to that country as Secretary of State. Terry McAuliffe,
the much beloved Clinton fundraising guru from their first presidency, absconded with
$5 million in Mississippi green tech grant money, added to it millions from EB-5 Chinese
money through brother Rodham’s Gulf States Capital, and bought the governor’s office
in Virginia. He immediately ordered millions of Virginians to turn in their assault rifles to
the State.
In December, the board of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation approved a
salary of more than $395,000, plus bonus, for its Yale-educated CEO, Eric Braverman,
while voting to extend his board term through 2017, according to sources familiar with
the arrangement. Braverman, who had worked with Chelsea Clinton at the prestigious
McKinsey & Company consultancy, had been brought in with the former first daughter’s
support to help impose McKinsey-like management rigor to a foundation that had grown
into a $2 billion charitable powerhouse.
Braverman worked only a short while in trying to bring the Foundation into compliance
with the law. Some told Braverman, “You don’t know how this place works,” while
others—including Lindsey—second-guessed Braverman to Bill Clinton, according to
sources familiar with the situation. But in January, only weeks after the board's show of
support and just a year and a half after Braverman arrived, he abruptly resigned, and
sources tell Politico his exit stemmed partly from a power struggle inside the foundation
between and among the coterie of Clinton loyalists who have surrounded the former
president for decades and who helped start and run the foundation.
The body count goes on and on and on.
Here is the latest body count that we have. All of these people have been connected
with the Clintons in some form or another. We have not included any deaths that could
not be verified or connected to the Clinton scandals. All deaths are listed chronologically
by date. This list is current and accurate to the best of our knowledge as of January 13,
1999 August 1, 2000.
Susan Coleman: Rumors were circulating in Arkansas of an affair with Bill Clinton. She
was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head at 7 1/2 months pregnant. Death was
an apparent suicide.
Larry Guerrin: Was killed in February 1987 while investigating the INSLAW case.
Kevin Ives & Don Henry: Initial cause of death was reported to be the result of falling
asleep on a railroad track in Arkansas on August 23, 1987. This ruling was reported by
the State medical examiner Fahmy Malak. Later it was determined that Kevin died from
a crushed skull prior to being placed on the tracks. Don had been stabbed in the back.
Rumors indicate that they might have stumbled upon a Mena drug operation.
Keith Coney: Keith had information on the Ives/Henry deaths. Died in a motorcycle
accident in July 1988 with unconfirmed reports of a high speed car chase.
Keith McKaskle: McKaskle has information on the Ives/Henry deaths. He was stabbed
to death in November 1988.
Gregory Collins: Greg had information on the Ives/Henry deaths. He died from a
gunshot wound to the face in January 1989.
Jeff Rhodes: He had information on the deaths of Ives, Henry & McKaskle. His burned
body was found in a trash dump in April 1989. He died of a gunshot wound to the head
and there was some body mutilation, leading to the probably speculation that he was
tortured prior to being killed.
James Milam: Milam had information on the Ives & Henry deaths. He was decapitated.
The state Medical examiner, Fahmy Malak, initially ruled death due to natural causes.
Richard Winters: Winters was a suspect in the deaths of Ives & Henry. He was killed in
a "robbery" in July 1989 which was subsequently proven to be a setup.
Jordan Kettleson: Kettleson had information on the Ives & Henry deaths. He was
found shot to death in the front seat of his pickup in June 1990.
Alan Standorf: An employee of the National Security Agency in electronic intelligence.
Standorf was a source of information for Danny Casalaro who was investigating
INSLAW, BCCI, etc. Standorf's body was found in the backseat of a car at Washington
National Airport on Jan 31, 1991.
Dennis Eisman: An attorney with information on INSLAW. Eisman was found shot to
death on April 5, 1991.
Danny Casalaro: Danny was a free-lance reporter and writer who was investigating the
"October Surprise", INSLAW and BCCI. Danny was found dead in a bathtub in a
Sheraton Hotel room in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Danny was staying at the hotel
while keeping appointments in the DC area pertinent to his investigation. He was found
with his wrists slashed. At least one, and possibly both of his wrists were cut 10 times.
All of his research materials were missing and have never been recovered.
Victor Raiser: The National Finance Co-Chair for "Clinton for President." He died in a
airplane crash on July 30, 1992.
R. Montgomery Raiser: Also involved in the Clinton presidential campaign. He died in
the same plane crash as Victor.
Paul Tully: Tulley was on the Democratic National Committee. He was found dead of
unknown causes in his hotel room on September 24, 1992. No autopsy was ever
allowed.
Ian Spiro: Spiro had supporting documentation for grand jury proceedings on the
INSLAW case. His wife and 3 children were found murdered on November 1, 1992 in
their home. They all died of gunshot wounds to the head. Ian's body was found several
days later in a parked car in the Borego Desert. Cause of death? The ingestion of
cyanide. FBI report indicated that Ian had murdered his family and then committed
suicide.
Paula Gober: A Clinton speech writer. She died in a car accident on December 9, 1992
with no known witnesses.
Jim Wilhite: Wilhite was an associate of Mack McClarty's former firm. Wilhite died in a
skiing accident on December 21, 1992. He also had extensive ties to Clinton with whom
he visited by telephone just hours before his death.
Steve Willis, Robert Williams, Todd McKeahan & Conway LeBleu: Died Feburary
28, 1993 by gunfire at Waco. All four were examined by a pathologist and died from
identical wounds to the left temple. All four had been body guards for Bill Clinton, three
while campaigning for President and when he was Governor of Arkansas.They also
were the ONLY 4 BATF agents killed at Waco.
Sgt. Brian Haney, Sgt. Tim Sabel, Maj. William Barkley, Capt. Scott Reynolds:
Died: May 19, 1993 - All four men died when their helicopter crashed in the woods near
Quantico, Va. - Reporters were barred from the site, and the head of the fire department
responding to the crash described it by saying, "Security was tight," with "lots of Marines
with guns." A videotape made by a firefighter was seized by the Marines. All four men
had escorted Clinton on his flight to the carrier Roosevelt shortly before their deaths.
John Crawford: An attorney with information on INSLAW. He died from a heart attack
in Tacoma in April of 1993.
John Wilson: Found dead from an apparent hanging suicide on May 18, 1993. He was
a former Washington DC council member and claimed to have info on Whitewater.
Paul Wilcher: A lawyer who was investigating drug running out of Mena, Arkansas and
who also sought to expose the "October Surprise", BCCI and INSLAW. He was found in
his Washington DC apartment dead of unknown causes on June 22, 1993.
Vincent Foster: A White House deputy counsel and long-time personal friend of Bill
and Hillary's. Found on July 20, 1993, dead of a gunshot wound to the mouth -- a death
ruled suicide. Whistleblowers say he was shot dead in the White House, and his car and
body were dumped with the gun in Marcy Park.
Jon Parnell Walker: An investigator for the RTC who was looking into the linkage
between the Whitewater and Madison S&L bankruptcy. Walker "fell" from the top of the
Lincoln Towers Building.
Stanley Heard & Steven Dickson: They were members of the Clinton health care
advisory committee. They died in a plane crash on September 10, 1993.
Jerry Luther Parks: Parks was the Chief of Security for Clinton's national campaign
headquarters in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car on September 26, 1993 near the
intersection of Chenal Parkway and Highway 10 west of Little Rock. Parks was shot
through the rear window of his car. The assailant then pulled around to the driver's side
of Park's car and shot him three more times with a 9mm pistol. His family reported that
shortly before his death, they were being followed by unknown persons, and their home
had been broken into (despite a top quality alarm system). Parks had been compiling a
dossier on Clinton's illicit activities. The dossier was stolen.
Ed Willey: A Clinton fundraiser. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on November
30, 1993. His death came the same day his wife, Kathleen, was sexually assaulted in
the White House by Bill Clinton.
Gandy Baugh: Baugh was Lasater's attorney and committed suicide on January 8,
1994. Baugh's partner committed suicide exactly one month later on February 8, 1994.
Herschell Friday: A member of the presidential campaign finance committee. He died
in an airplane explosion on March 1, 1994.
Ronald Rogers: Rogers died on March 3, 1994 just prior to releasing sensitive
information to a London newspaper. Cause of death? Undetermined.
Kathy Furguson: A 38 year old hospital worker whose ex-husband is a co- defendant
in the Paula Jones sexual harassment law suit. She had information supporting Paula
Jone's allegations. She died of an apparent suicide on May 11, 1994 from a gunshot
wound to the head.
Bill Shelton: Shelton was an Arkansas police officer and was found dead as an
apparent suicide on kathy Ferguson's grave (Kathy was his girl friend), on June 12,
1994. This "suicide" was the result of a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
Stanley Huggins: Huggins, 46, was a principal in a Memphis law firm which headed a
1987 investigation into the loan practices of Madison Guaranty S&L. Stanley died in
Delaware in July 1994 -- reported cause of death was viral pneumonia.
Paul Olson: A Federal witness in investigations to drug money corruption in Chicago
politics, Paul had just finished 2 days of FBI interviews when his plane ride home
crashed, killing Paul and 130 others on Sept 8 1994. The Sept. 15, 1994 Tempe
Tribune newspaper reported that the FBI suspected that a bomb had brought down the
airplane.
Calvin Walraven: 24 year on Walraven was a key witness against Jocelyn Elder's son's
drug case. Walraven was found dead in his apartment with a gunshot wound to the
head. Tim Hover, a Little Rock police spokesman says no foul play is suspected.
Alan G. Whicher: Oversaw Clinton's Secret Service detail. In October 1994 Whicher
was transferred to the Secret Service field office in the Murrah Building in Oklahoma
City. Whatever warning was given to the BATF agents in that building did not reach
Alan Whicher, who died in the bomb blast of April 19th 1995.
Duane Garrett: Died July 26, 1995-A lawyer and a talk show host for KGO-AM in San
Fransisco, Duane was the campaign finance chairman for Diane Fienstien's run for the
senate, and was a friend and fundraiser for Al Gore. Garrett was under investigation for
defrauding investors in Garrett's failed sports memorabilia venture. There was talk of a
deal to evade prosecution. On July 26th, Garrett canceled an afternoon meeting with his
lawyer because he had to meet some people at the San Fransisco airport. Three hours
later he was found floating in the bay under the Golden Gate Bridge.
Ron Brown:. The Commerce Secretary died on April 3, 1996, in an Air Force jet
carrying Brown and 34 others, including 14 business executives on a trade mission to
Croatia, crashed into a mountainside. The Air Force, in a 22-volume report issued in
June of 1996, confirmed its initial judgment that the crash resulted from pilot errors and
faulty navigation equipment At the time of Brown's death, Independent Counsel Daniel
Pearson was seeking to determine whether Brown had engaged in several sham
financial transactions with longtime business partner Nolanda Hill shortly before he

Charles Meissner: died: UNK - Following Ron Brown's death, John Huang was placed
on a Commerce Department contract that allowed him to retain his security clearance
by Charles Meissner. Shortly thereafter, Meissner died in the crash of a small plane.
He was an Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Economic Policy.
William Colby: Retired CIA director was found dead on May 6,1996 after his wife
reported him missing on April 27,1996. Apparently, Colby decided to go on a impromptu
canoeing excursion and never returned. Colby who had just started writing for Strategic
Investment newsletter, worried many in the intelligent community. Colby's past history of
divulging CIA secrets in the past were well known. Strategic Investor had covered the
Vince Foster suicide and had hired handwriting experts to review Foster's suicide note.
Admiral Jeremy Boorda: Died on May 16,1996 after he went home for lunch and
decided to shoot himself in the chest (by one report, twice) rather than be interviewed
by Newsweek magazine that afternoon. Explanations for Boorda's suicide focused on a
claim that he was embarrassed over two "Valor" pins he was not authorized to wear.
Lance Herndon: Herndon a 41 year old computer specialist and a prominent
entrepreneur who received a presidential appointment in 1995 died August 10, 1996
under suspicious circumstances. He appeared to have died from a blow to the head.
Police said no weapons were found at his mansion, adding that Mr. Herndon had not
been shot or stabbed and there was no evidence of forced entry or theft.
Neil Moody: Died -August 25, 1996 Following Vincent Foster's murder, Lisa Foster
married James Moody, a judge in Arkansas, on Jan 1, 1996. Near the time Susan
McDougal first went to jail for contempt, Judge Moor's son, Neil died in a car crash.
There were other reports that Neil Moody had discovered something very unsettling
among his stepmother's private papers and was threatening to go public with it just prior
to the beginning of the Democratic National Convention. He was alleged to have been
talking to Bob Woodward of the Washington Post about a blockbuster story. Witnesses
said they saw Neil Moody sitting in his car arguing with another person just prior to His
car suddenly speeding off out of control and hitting a brick wall.
Barbara Wise: Wise a 14-year Commerce Department employee found dead and
partially naked in her office following a long weekend. She worked in the same section
as John Huang. Officially, she is said to have died of natural causes.
Doug Adams: Died January 7, 1997- A lawyer in Arkansas who got involved trying to
help the people who were being swindled out of their life savings. Adams was found in
his vehicle with a gunshot wound to his head in a Springfield Mo. hospital parking lot.
Mary C. Mahoney: 25, murdered at the Georgetown Starbuck's coffee bar over the 4th
of July '97 weekend. She was a former White House intern who worked with John
Huang. Apparently she knew Monica Lewinsky and her sexual encounters with Bill
Clinton. Although not verified, it has been said that Lewinsky told Linda Tripp that she
did not want to end up like Mahoney.
Ronald Miller: Suddenly took ill on October 3rd,1997 and steadily worsened until his
death 9 days later. (This pattern fits Ricin poisoning.) Owing to the strangeness of the
illness, doctors at the Integris Baptist Medical Center referred the matter to the
Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office. The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's
Office promptly ran tests on samples of Ron Miller's blood, but has refused to release
the results or even to confirm that the tests were ever completed.
Had been investigated by authorities over the sale of his company, Gage Corp. to
Dynamic Energy Resources, Inc. was the man who tape recorded Gene and Nora Lum
and turned those tapes (and other records) over to congressional oversight
investigators. The Lums were sentenced to prison for campaign finance violations,
using "straw donors" to conceal the size of their contributions to various candidates.
Indeed, Dynamic Energy Resources, Inc. had hired Ron Brown's son Michael solely for
the purpose of funneling $60,000 through him to the Commerce Secretary, according to
Nolanda Hill's testimony.
Sandy Hume: On Sunday, February 22nd, 1998, Sandy Hume, the 28 year old son of
journalist Britt Hume, was reportedly found dead in his Arlington, Virginia home. Aside
from the statement that this was an "apparent" suicide, there remains in place a total
media blackout on this story, possibly out of concern that the actual facts will not
withstand public scrutiny. Worked for Hill magazine, about Congress for Congress.
Jim McDougal: Bill and Hillary Clinton friend, banker, and political ally, sent to prison
for eighteen felony convictions. A key whitewater witness, dies of a heart attack on
March, 8 1998. As of this writing allegations that he was given an injection of the diuretic
lasix has not been denied or confirmed.

Johnny Lawhon: 29, died March 29, 1998- The Arkansas transmission specialist who
discovered a pile of Whitewater documents in the trunk of an abandoned car on his
property and turned them over to Starr, was killed in a car wreck two weeks after the
McDougal death.. Details of the "accident" have been sketchy -- even from the local
Little Rock newspaper.
Charles Wilbourne Miller: 63, was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head on
November 17, 1998 in a shallow pit about 300 yards from his ranch house near Little
Rock. Police found a .410 gauge shotgun near Miller's body and a Ruger .357-caliber
revolver submerged in water. Investigators concluded the Ruger was the weapon used
by Miller to kill himself. Yet, two rounds in the handgun's cylinder had been spent.
He had long served as executive vice president and member of the board of directors
for a company called Alltel and was deeply involved in his own software engineering
company until the day he died. Alltel is the successor to Jackson Stephens'
Systematics, the company that provided the software for the White House's "Big
Brother" data base system and that was behind the administration's plan to develop
the secret computer "Clipper" chip to bug every phone, fax and email transmission in
America.
Carlos Ghigliotti: 42, was found dead in his home just outside of Washington D.C. on
April 28, 2000. There was no sign of a break-in or struggle at the firm of Infrared
Technology where the badly decomposed body of Ghigliotti was found. Ghigliotti had
not been seen for several weeks, commercial cleaning companies may have been
contacted in order for the offices to be cleaned.
Ghigliotti, a thermal imaging analyst hired by the House Government Reform Committee
to review tape of the siege, said he determined the FBI fired shots on April 19, 1993.
The FBI has explained the light bursts on infrared footage as reflections of sun rays on
shards of glass or other debris that littered the scene.
"I conclude this based on the groundview videotapes taken from several different angles
simultaneously and based on the overhead thermal tape," Ghigliotti told The
Washington Post last October. "The gunfire from the ground is there, without a doubt."
Ghigliotti said the tapes also confirm the Davidians fired repeatedly at FBI agents during
the assault, which ended when flames raced through the compound. About 80 Branch
Davidians perished that day, some from the fire, others from gunshot wounds.
Mark Corallo, a spokesman for the congressional committee chaired by Rep. Dan
Burton, R-Ind., said that police found the business cards of a committee investigator in
Ghigliotti's office. Corallo said Ghigliotti's work for the committee ended some time ago.
Tony Moser: 41, was killed as he crossed a street in Pine Bluff, Ark on on June 10,
2000. Killed 10 days after being named a columnist for the Democrat-Gazette
newspaper and two days after penning a stinging indictment of political corruption in
Little Rock.
Police have concluded that no charges will be filed against the unnamed driver of a
1995 Chevrolet pickup, which hit Moser as he was walking alone in the middle of unlit
Rhinehart Road about 10:10 p.m
Police say they have ruled out foul play and will file no charges against the driver
because he was not intoxicated and there was no sign of excessive speed

a.m.
Neighbors dialed 911 after spotting the fire. The body was discovered after fire crews
doused the blaze. The fire also charred part of the garage. Nobody in the house was
injured, fire officials said.

a tape about of a person named simply "B. Hussein" meeting with 9/11 hijacker Mohatma
Atta in Prague. Was found shot in the basement of a mosque in Dearborn, MI in October,
2001.
DARSANO RAHARDJO - Childhood classmate of Barack Obama when he attended a
madrassa in Indonesia. Was found with his head cut off in a Jakarta alley way in 1970.
Many children at the school attributed Rahardjo's murder to the young Barack Obama.
It was likely done as an initiation ritual, since Islam demands that a boy spill another's blood
before the age of ten to prove their loyalty to Allah.
REVEREND DAVID MANNING - Former head of the Trinity Baptist Church in Chicago. Was
murdered during the apparent robbery of a catfish restaurant in 1972. Shortly afterwards,
Rev. Jeremiah Wright took over as head of Trinity and a many parishioners (who later left
the church) suspected Wright in having a hand in Reverend Manning's death.
Decades later, Manning's son JAMAL MANNING was found dead of an apparent crack
overdose in 2004. It was rumored he was going to bring evidence of Wright's complicity in
his father's death. His testimony was timed to coincide with Obama's first senate race.
CHRISTOPHER HARGROVE, A former lover of Larry Sinclair. Found dead in a hotel room
of apparent auto-erotic asphyxiation in January 2001. Was said to have been enraged when
he found out that Sinclair had cheated on Jackson with Obama in the back of a limousine.

HARVEY KENYON - Head of Obama's senatorial security team in Chicago. Gunned down
in his car at a deserted intersection outside of Grant Park in 2005. Kenyon's son said his
father was building a dossier on Obama. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information.
After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house
SHEILA BAUGH - A Washington DC madame. Died from a gunshot wound. Reported to
have a black book of people containing names of influential people who visited the
prostitutes in her brothel. One of those names was allegedly Barack Obama.
KEYSHAWN "SPOON" CALWORTH - Was found dead of an apparent heroin overdose
May 18, 1997. Was reported to have ties to Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
LAWSHAWNA MARTIN (?) - 26 year old mother of five, a Cabrini Green resident with a
history of substance abuse. Told two of her co-workers at the Blue Peppermint Gentleman's
Club that she would have to quit work because she was pregnant again.
Strongly implied that the "baby daddy" was Barack Obama. The next week, she was
reported missing. No body was ever recovered, but Lawshana has not resurfaced since
making those remarks.

What’s Going on with the Stratosphere?
Now, there are 8 sunspot clusters on the Sun today, but Sunspot AR2305 has a 'betagamma' magnetic field that harbors energy for M-class solar flares. The Solar wind is
blazing at 420 km/sec. Lately, Spaceweather.com and the students of Earth to Sky
Calculus have been launching a lot of Space Weather Bouys. The missions aim to solve
a minor mystery in the stratosphere. On March 17th, a CME hit Earth's magnetic field,
sparking the strongest geomagnetic storm of the current solar cycle. Shortly after the
CME hit, ground-based neutron monitors measured a drop in cosmic rays. Here is an
example from the monitoring station in Oulu, Finland:
This drop is called a "Forbush Decrease." It happens because the CME sweeps aside
cosmic rays that normally surround Earth, causing radiation levels to drop. The Earth to
Sky space weather ballooning program has measured two previous Forbush
Decreases, on Sept 13th and Dec 21st, 2014. On both occasions, radiation levels in the
stratosphere dropped in sync with neutron counts on the ground.
This time, however, was different. Instead of dropping, radiation in the stratosphere
ticked upward. At least that is what the Space Weather Buoys are telling us. This
particular buoy was launched on March 17th during the peak of the geomagnetic storm:
So far, the student team has launched balloons with radiation sensors on March 13th,
March 17th, March 21st, and March 24th; and more launches in the offing. By sampling
the response of the stratosphere to the great storm--both the initial impact and the
rebound--they hope to unravel the puzzle. After a few more flights, the team will share
the full data set with the public.

Shuvalov said at China's Boao Forum, quoted by RIA Novosti state news agency.
The Beijing-backed AIIB, unveiled in October, is a multinational lender that the United
States perceives as a threat to the Washington-led World Bank.
It has proved highly successful with countries that are US allies, however, with Britain,
Germany, France, Italy and this week South Korea all saying they intend to join the $50
billion (46 billion euro) bank.
Russia has sought to align itself more closely with China in recent years and these
efforts have intensified amid a freeze in relations with the Western powers, which have
imposed harsh economic sanctions over Moscow's role in the Ukraine conflict.
"We are glad to have the opportunity to build up cooperation in the format of China and
the Eurasian Economic Union," Shuvalov said, referring to a free trade union
championed by Putin made up of Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Belarus, which
came into force in January.
"We in Russia are sure that joint work in developing Eurasian partnership and the Silk
Route economic belt will create further opportunities for the development of the
countries of the Eurasian Union and China," he said.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said this month that "practical cooperation between
China and Russia is based on mutual need" and has "enormous internal impetus and
room for expansion."
China is hungry for Russia's vast hydrocarbon resources, while Western sanctions have
made seeking stable markets an urgent need for Putin, whose economy has been hit
hard by the fall in prices for oil, a major source of revenue.
Both countries are permanent members of the UN Security Council, where they have in
the past jointly used their veto power against Western-backed moves such as in the civil
war in Syria.
Housing Bubble…Again?
Remember the financial crisis of a few years back, circa 2008, when the housing market
was a disaster with evictions and foreclosures, and unemployment zoomed to
“massive?” Back then even large banking institutions were bailed out by Washington,
car companies were on the brink of dissolving and stock markets plummeted?
Right, that economic disaster.
Well, things are much better these days. President Obama regularly says how many
millions of jobs have been created and how low the unemployment rate is. Government
spending has spiraled and the stock market has been floating ever upward.
But a new project is offering a warning that people should not necessarily accept those
conditions as permanent. In other words, watch out.
Because there’s going to be another collapse.
Oh, maybe not exactly the same way, but it’s going to hurt most consumers in America,
especially those who are not really, really wealthy, according to a planned project called
“Subprime 2.0: Doubling Down on Disaster,” which currently is raising funding on the
Indiegogo funding site.
The film is “a warning there is a new and probably worse financial crisis in the making
that will hit sometime in the future,” said Compass Films of New York director Cornelia
Mrose in an interview with WND.
According to a promotion video created for the product, journalist and author Paul
Sperry is working with Mrose on what is being called “Subprime 2.0.”
Sperry explains that Americans large believe what they’ve told by politicians, community
organizers and the media that the 2008 collapse was because of “greedy bankers and
deregulation.”
Politely, he explains that’s bunk.

It was because of a social agenda spun out of Washington that demanded regulators
ignore things like credit worthiness, credit history and even the ability to pay in order to
get minorities into housing they never could afford.
The result? No logical repayment plan, and a collapse of the housing and lending
markets
Mrose said, 10 government agencies were handed the responsibility of getting loans out
to people who realistically had no hope of repaying them.
No job, bad credit, no assets? suggested Sperry, no problem.
The issue is that the same scenario is developing now. Again.
One of the ominous signs, Mrose told WND, is that federal regulators are now allowing
home loans with no more than 3 percent down. And combined with other federal benefit
programs, some people are getting home mortgages “without any down payment
whatsoever.”
“This is incredibly dangerous,” she said. “When you consider the financial meltdown not
even seven years ago, it’s mindboggling that we are going down the same route again.”
She continued, “In the long term, all of us are going to be the losers,” she warned.
The documentary is to expose “the true causes of the financial crisis and warns that the
same political culprits are using it to justify policies that are pushing America into the
next and even greater crisis.”
And now, the filmmakers point out, the U.S. government effectively is turning mortgage
giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into welfare agencies.
It also is degrading the consumer credit standards used in virtually every financial
transaction in America.
And it is shaking down banks and forcing them into settlements that will pay out huge
amounts of money to favored activist groups, including ACORN front groups.
And the government is letting loose a frighteningly powerful new regulatory agency –
the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, created from Obama’s “financial reforms” –
on the entire financial sector, even though it is unaccountable to the American people,
has no oversight and is not dependent on Congress for funds.
Said former BB&T bank CEO John Allison, “We treated the financial crisis as if it were
deregulation that caused it. Well, it wasn’t deregulation that caused the financial crisis.
The financial industry is the most regulated industry in the world… It was government
policy, specifically errors by the Federal Reserve and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, the
subprime lending policy that created the financial crisis.”
He joins in warning, “We’re doing it again.”
Compass has launched an outreach through Indiegogo.com, one of the most popular
and trusted crowdfunding sites in the world.
The goal is to raise $150,000 for the production of the film which the filmmakers hope to
show in theaters nationwide during the summer of 2016 to challenge the false narrative
created by government.
The film project leaders say, “There are many powerful people in Washington who do
NOT want this story told. So it needs your help.”
According to the website, “‘Subprime 2.0′ tells the story of what should be one of the
great political scandals of our time: how the government’s crusade against alleged
lending racism wiped out $14 trillion in household wealth, how politicians and
community activists then blamed private lenders for the monumental crisis that they had
created and how it’s all starting again.”
Throwing the Bibi out with the Bathwater has Backfired
To restore the mission of the US Presidency—without which the United States cannot
survive—President Obama must be forced out of office. Until such time as Obama is
removed from office, and the fascist legislation that gave the central government so
much control over our lives is stricken from the records, the US presidency will be
crippled. In fact, the presidency itself has been irreparably harmed, but there is a
chance that a constitutional amendment to prohibit the president from controlling the
Agencies would save it.
Only after such a cleansing can the mission of the Presidency be restored. This federal
subversion of the Republic once known as America did not begin with Obama. It began
with Prescott Bush and his Nazi collusion before and during World War II. That Nazi
collusion persists to this day, within the Obama presidency, in the form of former Dick
Cheney national security aide Victoria Nuland, who is the Obama Administration's
liaison to the Ukrainian neo-Nazis and oligarchs. She is a Communist and is actively
and mortally wounding the nation with her lies and her subterfuge.
Bush created the military-industrial Agencies that allowed the oligarchs to infect the
balance of powers, relegating the people’s house, the US Congress, to the scrap heap.
He created the department of Homeland Security. He created the TSA. He took the
engineering of feeding the enemy of our enemies to destroy our enemies, and then
betraying our allies. This system was waiting for a man who could hate America
enough to use those tools to destroy her. Obama is that man, so filled with hatred for
freedom and the entrepreneurial spirit that is the core life blood of America.
The deeper truth that cannot be ignored is that the entire trans-Atlantic financial system
is hopelessly bankrupt. The US and Western Europe are bankrupt, and the surrounding
areas are mush, as the result of that reality. The symptoms of Greece, North Africa,
the Middle East, and the just barely breathing Italy are victims of the economic hit policy
that has been the mainstay of this imperial strategy. This is not America. This is not
liberty. This is not constitututional.
The United States is facing an existential decision: Either a qualified US President is
elected, after the immediate ouster of President Obama from office by constitutional
means, or the only hope for US survival is to cut some kind of a deal with Russia and
China, both to avoid war, and to enter into the Eurasian BRICS process.
All of Hillary Clinton's problems stem from the fact that she made a bad choice,
accepting Obama's poison pill offer to join the administration as Secretary of State. Had
she stayed in the US Senate, with the backing of 16 million Democratic voters, she
would have retained her independence, deepened her experience, and avoided the trap
that she was drawn into by associating with the Obama Administration.
Fortunately, we now see the old boy’s network cracking at the seams. Hillary is soiled
with lies and bribery and major violations of federal law on so many levels she makes
Obama look like a street thug. Elizabeth Warren is a tinkling sound. O’Malley is a slick
package with no refined purpose for the presidency. Trump is brilliant, but would better
serve as Commerce Secretary than president. The power brokers are so drunk with
their own success in raising billions of dollars through illegal campaign donations that
we can see dynamic leaders with ethics able to stand up and shine.
To restore a genuine American presidency, the Obama-Bush League must be removed,
before they start yet another insane war. Israel has been the story of the day, as
Obama’s anti-jew strategy has been exposed. He violated federal law by personally
directing millions of dollars in State Department grants to 270Strategies, staffed by his
very best data mining experts and former campaign engineers, to destroy Bibi
Netanyahu and install a Communist regime. He was furious when Bibi refused to
retreat back to the 1967 border, exposing the very heart of Israel to Hamas rockets. He
wants Israel destroyed and the Jews scattered to the four winds, never to be a world
force again.
So, the time has come to get rid of Obama. He should be forced to resign tomorrow.
The list of crimes is so long, we do not have enough time to list them. He is like a man
who is begging to impeached, as though that will martyr him.
That is only one war that he is crafting. The other one is very real and extremely
dangerous for America. Russia has had a good relationship with Ukraine and with it
southern peninsula, Crimea, since 1748. There are Euro-NATO forces who want to
push Ukraine deep into debt with the same old imperial economic terrorism they have
used globally for almost 100 years. Russia president, Vladimir Putin, will not allow that
to happen any more than Bibi Netanyahu would allow Iran to take over Palestine. Why
does Obama take actions to disarm America, remove its brightest and most experience
military leaders, and allow all available capital to be vacuumed to the Trans-Atlantic
central banks in Europe? Because Obama and the Ayatollahs have the same exact
mission; death to America.
If Obama is successful in forcing Putin to shoot first, I am afraid that shot will mortally
wound the nation formerly known as America. His first shot cannot be stopped from
hitting its target. We are especially vulnerable when Obama is out in the open giving
speeches or playing golf. We are talking a first strike that would be over and done in
less than 7 minutes. Obama’s ego will not allow him to think about anyone or anything
but himself for more than one minute at a time. Many people think Obama is stupid and
does not know he has the underbelly of America lying docile in the sun. People who
watch and study this know that this is exactly what he has planned. This Obama-Putin
plan was crafted many years ago. We have just never had a president before who was
willing to betray the nation that made him rich and powerful. Until now.
