Langley Family Charitable Trust

(LFCT) is accepting applications to award scholarships to Colorado high school seniors. The deadline to receive completed applications is April 12 . For more information or to receive an application, call 303-694-3126 .

Kit Faragher Foundation Due 5/15 Amount: $2,500 Grade: 12 GPA: 2.50

Must be a student with positive attitude, strong commitment and drive toward accomplishment.

COMTO Scholarship Due 5/11 Amount: $6,000 Grade: 12

High School Students who plan to attend accredited four-year colleges and universities and major in the following or related disciplines:

The "Yes I Can - Achieve the Dream" Due: 5/27 Grade: 12

This is a scholarship sponsored by the Dr. MLK Colorado Holiday Commission for a deserving Colorado High School Senior that has at times struggled academically, yet has demonstrated tremendous capacity and potential to succeed. Students must be actively engaged in community service; be in good standing at their High School and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and not exceed

3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Two letters of recommendation are required, with one from a current or prior Educator and one from a community

Morgan Community College Scholarships Due: 6/1 Grade: 12 TH and Undergraduate

Morgan Community College scholarships are competitive and recipients are selected based upon their qualifications. There is also a New Student Scholarship Application or a General Scholarship Application. Most scholarships require students to be enrolled in a degree or certificate program. Red Rocks Community College Scholarships Due: 5/30 Grade: 12 TH & Undergraduate

To be considered for scholarships, a student must fulfill the following requirements: apply for admission to RRCC; be a Colorado resident; be a U.S. citizen/eligible non-citizen; complete a scholarship application. See website for a detailed list of scholarships, including deadlines and applications. Most of the Scholarship deadlines are June 4th. Adams State College Colorado Due: varies Grade: 12TH & Graduate

The deadline for all Institutional and Foundation scholarships, including the Good Neighbor Scholarship and the First Generation

Scholarship, is March 1st. When applying for multiple scholarships, please submit a separate form for each one. The 2014 Teen Science Scholars Program is open to students who will be entering grades 10 –12 in the fall of 2013. Each applicant must demonstrate an interest in science through their application, essay, and interview as well as a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor. Students also should have leadership experience and good academic background.

Applications must be received by Monday, March 17, 2014.

To apply, submit a completed, signed application and answers to the essay questions enclosed. A letter of recommendation from a mentor or teacher must accompany your application. You will also be asked to participate in a personal interview with the selection committee. Interview dates and times are to be determined. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. We encourage students interested in science to apply, especially those who would be the first to attend college in their family and those from diverse communities.

CBSA Internship Program:

The CBSA Internship Program is open to students who to students who are working towards either an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Each applicant must demonstrate an interest in science through their application, essay, and interview as well as a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor. Students also should have leadership experience and good academic background.

Applications must be received by Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 5 pm: To apply, submit a completed application and a personal essay. A letter of recommendation from a mentor or teacher must be sent separately directly from the recommender. Interview dates and times are to be determined. If accepted for an interview, please visit www.dmns.org/genetics to learn more about our research study and community-based lab prior to interview date. This is an unpaid internship and incomplete applications will not be accepted.
