Donors will get a tax slip from the CBCF.****** $50 for horse/rider combination - 2 classes $ 75 for horse/rider combination - 3-5 classes $125 for horse/rider combination - Unlimited classes Entries Due by September 9th, 2015, or a $25 late fee is applicable Ribbons 1st-6th Clovelly Pink horse show is a sanctioned NEA Provincial Heritage Circuit Show and is governed by the rules of the Newfoundland Equestrian Association using the Saskatchewan Horse Federation Heritage Circuit Rule Book Any application received after the deadline will incur a $25.00 late entry fee. Any changes made to the application after it is submitted will be charged according to the number of classes. Participants must have cash or cheque on and to pay for additional classes. Dropped classes will not be refunded. An additional $ 25 minimum donation fee has been added in addition to regular show fees. COMPETITORS WILL RECEIVE A TAX SLIP FROM THE CBCF. Entry fees will only be refunded upon proof of lameness, sickness or injury to the horse/rider in question and will require a note from a vet or doctor. No Exceptions. A $25 fee will be applied to refunds. ALL competitors must be members of the Newfoundland Equestrian Association. All horses entered must have a negative Coggin’s Test certificate dated June 2013 or later. All horses entering the grounds for competition also must show proof of vaccinations (Fluvac 5). Ring numbers must be picked the morning of the show from the show secretary between 8:00 and 10:00a.m. Riders must return their number at the end of the show day or incur a fee of $2.00. The competition Committee of the Show reserves the right to cancel or combine any classes with insufficient entries. If class is cancelled, the fee for that class will be refunded upon request. All Junior Classes may be further split into A, B & C if numbers warrant Coaches and Professionals are not restricted to Open classes only. They may enter both their age division and the open class. Those entering hunter divisions may only enter two consecutive height divisions (ex. if you are doing cross-rails, you cannot do 2’3). The decisions of the judge and Competitions Committee are final. The schedule of events is subject to change if necessary. Good sportsmanship shall prevail at all times. Anyone showing disrespect to any official, competitor, spectator or horse shall be asked to leave the grounds for the duration of the show. Medical personnel will be on the grounds, however veterinary service will be on a call-in basis. All competitors under the age of nineteen must have a consent form signed by a parent/guardian. Competitors should be ready and warming up at least one half hour before their class begins. Competitors must be on time for all classes entered. All English competitors, as well as junior Western competitors and those who are jumping must wear helmets. It is strongly advised that all competitors wear helmets regardless of age or discipline. Western riders will not be discriminated against for choosing to wear a helmet in competition. Ring number must be worn at all times and in a manner that allows them to easily be seen. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they are familiar with and follow the rules and guidelines for their specific discipline. Appropriate tack and clothing is required for all competitors in English and Western disciplines. Safety Guidelines for Pre-Show Warm Up General Jumping Those wishing to warm up while on Clovelly grounds may do so in a safe manner. Please be respectful of others time. General safety measures should be followed at all times. Helmets must be worn while mounted, as to comply with Clovelly’s insurance regulations. Horses who kick are encouraged to wear a red ribbon in the tail, and those who bite a red ribbon in the mane. Juniors are not permitted to jump without the supervision of a coach or a legal guardian. Adults wishing to jump must have a person over 18 to accompany them on the ground for safety. Competitors are not permitted to jump a course the evening before the show or the morning of. Designated jumps are to be jumped only. Coaches are not permitted to mount/school the horse while on the show grounds. Warm-up jump in the dressage arena may only be jumped on the left rein. First consideration is given to people coming from outside the St. John’s and surrounding area for overnight stalls. Requesting Stabling does not guarantee that it will be available. There are no day stalls available. Instead of Day Stalls the indoor arena will be available for use free of charge due the inconvenience. No horse is to be tied and left unattended in the indoor arena. Please bring a friend to hold your horse if you are unable to be with it all day.
