Motioned for approval by Joan, seconded by Matt – motion carried Treasurer’s Report: 2014 YTD Calendar Year Report was reviewed; more information and approvals will be supplied at next meeting □ 2014 Year-End Reports & YTD Fiscal Year Reports; Emily motioned for approval, Joan seconded – motion carried □ Excludes December payroll; last year’s did as well. □ December ‘Pageant’ account fraudulent online activity by hacker – debit card replaced & Chamber email account password reset. Old Business 1. Events: a. Christmas in Siren – November 29th Kick-off i. Results review; overall a positive event, though not a significant income source for the chamber. Will continue with Small Business Saturday promotions, and will look towards some new events in 2015. ii. Big Bundle Up – 113 total items! b. Siren Destination Wedding Fair – January 25th i. 30 booths to date (vs. 35); requests still being received. c. St. Patrick’s Day i. NEW Family Snow-building and/or ‘Medallion-hunt’ Activities – proposal & next steps: Matt Golke will continue to work on this and bring a proposal forth at the February board meeting d. 2015 Events – Board assignment review. 2. 2014-2015 Membership: (75 vs. 83 last year) a. 4 New members (vs. 8 last year) – Siren Pharmacy & Yah-Butz ‘Welcomes’ tbd; b. Website update with members only - pending; c. Non-member business contacts – status; d. Concentrated effort to sign-up all ‘Dining’ businesses – progress report; e. 2015 Decals – Distribution update by all. New Business 1. 2015 Music in the Park: 11 of 14 bands booked 2. Membership Meetings: a. 2015 PROPOSED Membership Meeting Schedule was confirmed with locations; for New Year’s email to membership this week communicating new schedule. 3. Chamber Bucks: a. Liability reporting now included on Balance Sheet; b. VOTE REQUIRED: Expiration date determination – 5 years from date of issue: decision on write-offs at each fiscal year end. Cheryl motioned for approval, Jamie seconded – motion carried. 4. Tourism: a. NEW Siren Digital Sign next steps: i. Jan. 7th Siren School & BCDA Meetings; Joan and Chris to lead these discussions. ii. American Legion approached – declined, no $ to donate; Marketing: iii. Chicago market ad – Jan. 21st ‘Winter Fun Guide’ issue, 1/8 page; paid for by the Siren Tourism Commission. iv. Brochure & Tour Map ‘re-prints.’ will be necessary this year, but hasn’t been budgeted yet. b. 2015 Minneapolis Home & Garden Show – Wed., Feb. 25th.
