The Jobs for Illinois Graduates program prepares participants for future success through employability skills training and career exploration activities including inventories, assessments, speakers in the classroom, goal setting, and post-graduation placement in career related jobs and/or education. Members may also receive assistance with specific class work and have access to other supportive services through the JILG program in order to succeed. Now I would like to introduce, our Secretary, _______________. (Secretary) In order to help us reach our goals, all students in the Jobs for Illinois Graduates program belong to an integral youth organization called the Illinois Career Association. Throughout the year we invite speakers into our classroom to learn as much as possible about a variety of careers and post-secondary opportunities. Other career preparation activities include career exploration through research and interviews, taking interest inventories and assessments, developing interviewing skills, preparing resumes and business correspondence, conducting job searches and job shadowing, as well as, researching post-secondary educational institutions. At this time I would like to introduce our Reporter, _______________. (Reporter) Good citizenship is the third goal of our membership.
