Juggling court time when refereeing is one example of demonstrating pragmatic solutions. Report Writing – A proven skill, in order to meet the demands of my University Degree I was required to continually hand in reports all to strict deadlines and word counts, additionally I have had to hand in a statement of profits to the Inland Revenue. Information Technology Skills – I have a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel, in addition to this I have experience with Social Media sites and the updating of Web Sites. Desire to Learn and Develop – Through travel, education and working with more experienced individuals I have shown the desire to learn and improve as an individual. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY Chesterfield Tennis Club, Derbyshire, Head Club Coach, May 2011 to February 2015 My role as Head Coach is to deliver a wide range of coaching sessions, these include; mini tennis, development groups, cardio tennis, adult team training, performance groups, and school/college classes. Off court I have a responsibility to assist the management of the coaching program alongside the coaching director; this involves profit/loss accounts, marketing and developing the coaching program, strategic planning, and organizing the coaching team. In addition to this I am also involved in the running of events at the club, for example: open days, tournaments, and social activities. I also organize junior matches in both the Aegon Team Tennis and Sheffield and District Leagues. Club Energy Fitness Centre, Retford, Nottinghamshire, Gym Instructor, January 2011 to April 2011. This role required me to master many different skills as I had a wide range of responsibilities, these included; first point of contact for members arriving in the club, providing both 1 to 1 and group fitness sessions based on the clients individual fitness goals, maintaining a high level of presentation of the gym facilities through regular cleaning and maintenance duties in addition to opening/closing procedures, finally I was required to undertake basic business skills such as daily banking, handling of payments and administration. La Manga Tennis Centre, Murcia, Spain, Tennis Coach, April 2008 to October 2010. Working in such a large tennis centre has allowed me to experience many different types of players and therefore I have needed to develop my communication skills in order to help each and every player reach their potential. Additionally working predominately on clay has challenged me to change my coaching methods and styles to help educate players on the fundamental strategies and techniques associated on this surface. A key role that I undertook at La Manga was being part of a team of 3 coaches who headed up the Pro Academy, which is an intensive academy designed for performance players, my roles included; designing and implementing programs, on court technical and tactical demonstrations, organizing large groups of players, tournament running and educating other coaches. I was also in charge of a cardio tennis program which ran throughout all major holiday periods, the program was designed to cater for all standards and fitness levels in a fun environment aimed at improving overall fitness through on court tennis related exercises. Working at a tennis club in a different country allowed me to experience different coaching methods and philosophies and work alongside other more experienced coaches. I worked as a tennis professional at the centre which involved working with a wide range of clientele with differing ability levels, alongside this my duties also included working in the pro shop and taking part in promotional events, such as road shows, festivals, and open days. I gained valuable knowledge regarding the make up of a successful tennis business. David Lloyd, Burton Waters, Lincolnshire, Tennis Coach, April 2004 to October 2006. My main roles at the club were to work with mini tennis and development groups, in these roles I had to be a well organized, motivated, leader and role model, safety conscious, and have the ability to work alongside other coaches. Additionally I was employed to deliver individual tennis lessons to all ages and abilities, this meant that I had to be flexible in the type of lesson I delivered. One of the most beneficial parts of this job was having the opportunity to work alongside more experienced coaches at the club from whom I learnt a lot. This job involved me working as a self-employed person in a local tennis club which had around 150 hundred members, this involved me running group and individual tennis lessons for juniors.
