Act (Cap 29), hereby certify that i)
there is no timber structure (ie timber staircase and the timber floor) in this submission and that approval of the Fire
Safety and Shelter Department, SCDF is not required;
ii)
the proposed A&A works:(a)
do not involve building extension over public sewer or new connection to sewer; and
(b)
do not encroach on any Drainage Reserve
as evidenced by the original copy of SIP and DIP attached to this submission;
iii)
I shall comply with the requirements of CBPU in respect of sewerage/sanitary plumbing works and drainage works as
given in the Appendix 1 to this Declaration.

Building Control Act (Cap 29), hereby certify that I have noted the following requirements for sewerage and
drainage works and I undertake to ensure that these requirements will be complied with in connection with the
above proposal:(A)
SEWERAGE/SANITARY PLUMBING WORKS
(a)
All works involving sewerage, sanitary and plumbing system under this A&A proposal shall
comply with:(i)
(ii)
(iii)
(iv)
Part V (Sewerage) of the Water Pollution Control and Drainage Act (Cap 348);
The Sewerage Procedure & Requirements Book;
The Sanitary Plumbing & Drainage System Regulations, 1976; and
The Code of Practice on Sanitary Plumbing & Drainage System.
(b)
No building/structure shall be built over, across or less than one metre from any public sewer
measured from the building line.
(c)
No new connection is to be made to the public sewer.
(d)
The sewerage information as indicated on the Sewerage Interpretation Plan obtained from the
Central Building Plan Unit (Environment) has been verified and confirmed at site. It has been
incorporated into this A&A proposal.
(e)
This A&A proposal involves the addition/deletion of the following sanitary appliances:-

The owner/developer has been informed that Sanitary Appliances Fees (SAF) will be levied on

earlier as determined by Sewerage Department.

(B)
(h)
The QP/owner shall engage a Registered Sanitary Plumber (RP) to carry out the proposed
sanitary works as shown on the BP. The QP shall notify Sewerage Department the name of
the RP and the expected date of commencement of work.
(i)
Approved sanitary appliances and related sanitary products will be used in the project.
(j)
Upon work completion, QP will carry out site inspection with the Registered Sanitary
Plumber.
(k)
If the works are not in order, the QP will submit list of defects for deliberation by Sewerage
Department on the infringements under the “Points demerit system for registered sanitary
plumber”.
(l)
After the site inspection, the QP will submit the following to Sewerage Department:(i)
Certificate of Supervision
(ii)
“As-built” plan showing the deviated works (if any) complying with (a) above.
(iii)
A listing declaring the addition/deletion of sanitary appliances in each unit if the
numbers are different from those declared in item (e) above.
(m)
All the rainwater from the roofs and open spaces will be channelled to the stormwater drain
and not to any opening connected to a sewerage system.
(n)
Only low capacity flushing cisterns/wc suites are used in this project.
DRAINAGE WORKS
(a)
The works under this A&A proposal will not encroach on any Drainage Reserve. The
Drainage Reserve as indicated on the Drainage Interpretation Plan is valid for one year from
the date the information is given by ENV.
(b)
No structure will be built over any drain other than slabbing over of internal compound
drain(s) serving only the subject lot(s) of this A&A proposal.
(c)
There will be no slabbing over or alterations to any common drains serving the adjacent
areas.
(d)
This proposal does not entail any work involving the construction of access structures over
public drains and/or connections to public drains.
(e)
The works will not in any way adversely affect the drainage of the site or the adjacent areas.
(f)
All works will be carried out in compliance with the Code of Practice on Surface Water
Drainage.
