If the approved person tests or commissions the plumbing and drainage, the person must, within 5 business days after testing or
commissioning the plumbing or drainage, give the responsible person a report about the testing or commissioning (a ‘compliance
report’). The responsible person must give council the compliance report prior to council issuing a compliance certificate.
Approved person: means for testing and commissioning of work: the person who carried out the compliance assessable work; or
another person who in the opinion of the council, is competent to test or commission the plumbing or drainage; and if required under
the act or another act to be registered or licensed to practise in the aspect of the work, is registered or licensed.
