SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
Supplementary Movie 1. Vertical-current-driven motion of skyrmionic bit on the
40-nm-wide normal racetrack within 10 ns. The current density j = 5 × 1010 A/m2 and
DMI constant D = 3 × 10-3 J/m2. The direction of the electron polarization (P = 0.4) is
in-plane and makes a 60 degrees angle with the length-axis of the racetrack, which
ensures that the skyrmion is driven by the current moving along the racetrack towards
right but without touching the upper track border. The component of magnetization
perpendicular to the viewing plane is color coded (teal blue is into the plane, red is out of
the plane, white is in-plane).
