1. Summary Statement: State the major function(s) of the position and its role in the
university. Attach an organizational chart with positions, ranges, and names for the division
which reflects the position in it as well as those supervised in the department. (This section is
used for advertisement of the position.)
The Coordinator, Graduate Medical Education (GME) Institutional Performance, at the University of
Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) is responsible for the coordination and management of
assessment data for accreditation. The incumbent will communicate performance measures to
department staff, coordinate the collection and compilation of data, analyze data to identify
deficiencies and areas for improvement, and implement new procedures and processes to improve
quality in the performance measure areas. The position will also oversee/participate in accreditation
activities at both the institutional and departmental levels. The Coordinator provides fiscal oversight
for hospital reimbursements, review duty hour reports for fiscal accuracy, and coordinate data sharing
with UNSOM Budget and Finance. The position reports to the Associate Dean, GME.
2. List the major responsibilities, including percentage of time devoted to each. Provide
enough detail to enable a person outside the department to understand the job (percentage
first with heading and then bulleted information).

models (benchmark practices) to assist the institution and the GME programs in meeting and
exceeding compliance with ACGME standards
 Track residency review committee citations in collaboration with the Associate Dean: supply

process in accordance with institutional policy. The Coordinator works with program directors and
