Residential Child Care Worker:
Summary: Participate as a member of a treatment team in Walker’s residential program to meet
the social, recreational, behavioral, and educational needs of children exhibiting emotional and
behavioral difficulties. Plan, implement, and participate in social and recreational activities for
children. Provide a safe and therapeutic milieu that meets the physical and emotional needs of
children. Implement treatment protocols established by a multi-disciplinary team. Attend to the
administrative functions of child care, including attending treatment meetings, writing reports, and
actively participating in supervision and professional development opportunities offered at Walker.
Positions available at a variety of professional levels; Flexible shifts are available, including
awake overnight positions.
Compensation is commensurate with related experience and education.
Requirements: Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferred. Must be
committed to family driven and culturally competent care and strength based treatment. Excellent

Assistant Teacher I:
Summary: To team teach with a Head teacher in a self-contained classroom of eight to 11
children with emotional, learning, and behavioral disabilities; to provide educational services as
directed by the Head teacher and the educational leadership team. This is a 12-month position
that includes some holidays and school vacations. Must be committed to child centered, family
focused culturally competent care and strength based treatment
Requirements: Bachelors Degree, Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education preferred. Valid
Massachusetts drivers license and previous experience working with children in an education
setting. Must be committed to family driven and culturally competent care and strength based
treatment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

English Language Learning Specialist-Part Time:
Summary: To assure that Walker provide appropriate assessment, direct instruction, and support
to English Language Learners and their families. To provide consultation to classroom teachers
and other staff on best practice for English Language Learners. Must be committed to child
centered, family focused culturally competent care and strength based treatment.
Requirements: M.Ed. in special education with Massachusetts’s licensure as a teacher of
special needs.

Special Education Teacher:
Summary: Teach in a self-contained classroom of 8 to 11 children with emotional, learning, and
behavioral disabilities. Develop and coordinate the academic, behavioral, and social curriculum in
the classroom with the support of Educational Leadership Team. Supervise the assistant
teachers of the classroom and lead the classroom team (two assistant teachers) in the overall
functioning of the classroom. Write IEPs and reports, and present at student-focused meetings
with the support of the classroom supervisor. Collaborate with multi-discplinary teams(clinicians,
supervisors, specialists, residential team members) around programming for students. Must be
committed to child centered, family focused culturally competent care and strength based
treatment.
Requirements:Bachelors Degree with Massachusetts licensure in special education

Needham Campus Administration:
Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist:
Summary: Lead the development and implementation of Walker’s action plan to increase
recruitment and retention activities as well as cultural competence at all levels of the organization.
Co-staff the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee
Requirements: Two-Five years of professional experience working with management teams
which includes leadership experience in administering successful recruitment, retention
and cultural competence programs within an organization. Must be committed to family driven

Walker Partnerships:
After School Kindergarten Teacher-Mary Lyons School
Summary: Plan and implement academic, artistic, and sports activities for general and special
education students. This is a full-time or part-time position that follows the school calendar.
Requirements: Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience with
students who have emotional and/or behavioral issues Behavior management skills and
experience in planning and running activities for children. Must be committed to family driven and
culturally competent care and strength based treatment.

Elementary Social Worker-Westminster MA:
Summary: The Clinician is responsible for providing therapeutic support to students and their
families, providing case management services, and providing consultation to associated school
personnel.
Requirements: Masters Degree with a LICSW,Minimum of five years post graduate experience
working with emotionally and behaviorally disordered youth. Prior experience working in a
therapeutic milieu. Must be committed to family driven and culturally competent care and strength
based treatment. Prior experience in parent support and treatment. Crisis intervention knowledge.

Beacon High School-Watertown:
Program Director:
Summary: Responsibility for daily operations of a 65 student high school program for students
with significant mental health challenges. Supervise clinical, educational, and guidance directors,
maintaining balance between the clinical and educational needs of students, and commitment to
agency mission. Work directly with students, parents, staff, and collaterals, to provide leadership
around admissions, crisis intervention/behavioral support, program development, etc. Report to
the Vice President of Operations of Walker, and represent Beacon High School’s needs to the
senior management and Board of the larger agency.
Requirements: Masters degree in special education, social work or related field. Experience in
alternative high school setting and/or with adolescents who have significant mental health
challenges. 5+ years progressively responsible supervisory/administrative experience.Must be
committed to family driven and culturally competent care and strength based treatment.
