Work continues on retention of students once accepted to the Radiologic Technology curriculum and improvements have been seen in this area. A new administrative assistant and department chair were hired and are being oriented to the college, division and department procedures. Please list the actions and/or improvement priorities underway from the most recent program review recommendations: The department has had preliminary discussions regarding the Life and Health Sciences Division’s Accelerated Admission for Academic Achievement (AAAA) policy. The department recognizes that using this type of admission policy could be a tool that would possibly increase student retention. Discussion has also taken place on the improvement of communication with students in the program applicant database. Communication has significantly improved between department office and the academic advising office. The admission process will be completely revised as a part of the semester conversion so the department anticipates implementation of revised and/or new policies at that time. Program outcome(s)--data collected in 07-08 What actions/improvements are underway as a result of your data analysis? No Program/Department Annual Update was submitted for 2007-08 and assessment data for that time period is not available at this time or is incomplete. Program outcome(s)--data collected in 08-09 How have you analyzed the data collected? What did you find? Describe the results obtained. While the program is very happy with the results of program outcomes, in the spring of 2009 program faculty met and completely revised the program mission statement, goals, and overall program assessment plan. Input was obtained from full-time and part-time faculty and the new assessment plan will put the program in alignment with our programmatic accreditation agency. (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology-JRCERT.) 1/22/08 2 Program outcome(s)—data collected for 09-10 For the outcome(s) currently under study (for 09-10 outcomes), what evidence and process do you plan to use to determine the extent to which this/these program outcome(s) have been met? For the upcoming year the program will be working out of a completely revised policies and procedures manual, clinical forms are being reviewed for possible revision, and the new student and clinical orientation sessions have been completely revamped. Overall the program is making improvements in all aspects of didactic and clinical education.
