Responsible for a budget of approximately $1,500,000, and for bringing in 350 day and evening students per year (total enrollment is 720). Administer the College’s successful merit financial aid program, need-based aid, and recruitment activities aimed at freshmen, transfer, and international students (15% of total enrollment is international). Oversee awarding of transfer credit, develop and monitor all articulation agreements with community colleges, have set up Career Services programs designed to support Federal Work Study. Led efforts to develop College Student Service Center, bringing together vital offices on campus to better serve prospective and continuing students. Developed College-wide Retention Committee to coordinate sharing of information and follow up action for all continuing students in effort to improve retention. One of 3 key administrators and faculty who developed College’s very successful Philler Curtis Program to attract high potential “late bloomers” to Menlo. Work closely with Dean of Library and faculty leadership on attempts to improve academic offerings and services. Have seen a 40-50% increase in incoming freshman and day transfer enrollment from 2000 to 2006, presiding over the largest in-coming classes ever seen at Menlo College. Have also seen an increase in semester to semester retention of 5 to 10 percentage points from 2000 to 2006.
