Grad Banquet: Sub-Committees 2008 Committee Chair Fundraising Responsibilities -Establish a budget with the help of nutrition society presidents -Oversee ALL committees -Assist in decision making -Attend to concerns and questions from faculty and graduates -Set fundraising Goal! (Last year’s banquet cost over $1000!!!) -Plan, organize, and implement fundraising ideas -Recruit grads to assist in fundraising efforts Invitations -Design, print, and send out invitations -Obtain a list of graduates from Mary Murphy…relay grad list to Ticket and Program committees Tickets -Design, print, and sell tickets -Ensure ALL Grads and ALL faculty have an opportunity to purchase a ticket -Keep a list of who have and have not purchased their tickets -Recruit grads to assist in the selling of tickets -Determine a guest speaker (make sure to ask for their bio for the night of the banquet!) -Recruit MC for the evening -Design and print evening program -Recruit grads to ‘Toast the Faculty,’ ‘Present the Class Photo,’ and ‘Perform Grace’ Program Decorations -Decide what decorations to have -Look after purchasing/borrowing decorations -Responsible for set-up and take-down of decorations on day of banquet Food/Alcohol -Decide upon and book location -Choose menu/wine Gift -Look after getting gifts for grads and a gift for the guest speaker Slideshow -Responsible for making up a slideshow that includes pictures of all graduates -Ensure that all required equipment is present and working on night of banquet Home-economic Rings -Facilitate the ordering of Home-Ec Rings -Contact Camerons to determine costs etc…relay info to grads -Plan and implement mini ‘ring ceremony’ for ring recipients Committee Members Kendra Read
