Hume City Council - 2 scholarships $4,500 each
We provide assistance with obtaining placements during the course and conduct a Graduate
Program for Scholarship recipients when they commence employment. Contact: Catina

Kingston City Council - scholarships $3,500 each (see website for application form)

Latrobe City Council – 1 sponsorship of $3,000 per annum.
Preference is given to Latrobe City residents.
Latrobe City Council MCH offer preferential clinical placement for scholarship students.
Students are also invited to participate in any appropriate team professional development
activities. Scholarship recipients are required to be available for a minimum of 1 year as at
least a casual to work at Latrobe City Council at the successful completion of their study

Melton City Council - scholarships up to $4,000 each.
Scholarships awarded on the condition that applicants must be willing to commit to
employment as a Maternal and Child Health nurse with Melton City Council for a minimum
period of 12 months, subject to available employment opportunities and provided that all
Melton City Council recruitment policy requirements are met. Please contact us at any time

Swan Hill Rural City Council – general LG scholarship, includes MCH studies - $2,000

Swan Hill RCC offer a general scholarship of $2000 a year to university students studying an
area relevant to local government such as engineering, urban planning or MCH, for example.
MCH students are offered field placements during their course. Usually only one MCH
scholarship awarded annually. Scholarships are advertised in January each year. Check
local papers and the Council website.
