Hypothesis

If I test three brands of paper towels: Brawny, Bounty, Scotts, or Viva, will
absorb the most water then I think Bounty will absorb the most water
because the manager at Publix told me that is the best selling brand.

If I chew bubble gum, spearmint, cinnamon, or peppermint to see which flavor
will last the longest then I think cinnamon will last the longest because
Big Red is always sold out when I go to the store.

If I pop three different brands of popcorn: Act II, Jiffy Pop, Healthy Choice or
Pop Secret to see which one will leave the most Kernels when popped, then I
think Act II will have the most Kernels because when my family pops that
brand there are always a lot of Kernels in the bottom of the bag.

Controlled variables are what you keep the same for the experiment
Uncontrolled variables are things that may or may not happen when you do the
experiment. Some projects may not have any. These are things that happened
accidentally: power went out, dog ate it, etc.
