15th non/fiction book fair (November 27th – December 1st) has prepared an exciting Event Program for children. The third
floor of the Central House of Artists will host a dedicated space for children’s literature and Event Program. The artist, Viktor
Melamed, and the architect, Alexandr Zuzin, have designed a totally new space featuring stands, a business-area with
children’s playground, seminars and a lounge.
The topic in 2013 is “Believe it or not: who, what and why we believe and trust”. How to feel confident among so many
sources of information, whose opinion do we consider, when do we trust ourselves and when we don’t? Are we always ready
to defend our convictions or more likely to accept somebody else’s opinion? Authors, artists, experts and children will share
their thoughts on these issues. The expert council of children’s program has selected a list of books and movies on the topic to
get together and discuss.

 10 minutes talks about children’s authors’ and artists’ beliefs

 Workshops by artists and illustrators: Maksim Pokalev, Zina Surova (Russia), Ole Könnecke (Germany), Polina
Petrushina (France), Loes Riphagen (Netherlands) and others
 New title presentations, exhibitions, master-classes
 Series of master-classes for children and parents with psychologist Evgeniya Stratijchuk “How to play with this book”
in interactive reading area.
