American College of Surgeons, International Society of Surgery, European Society of
Surgical Oncology, Surgical Infection Society and Surgical Infection Society Europe
(founding member). I was member of the organizing committee of several meetings
and chairman of the organizing committee of the European Congress of the Surgical
Infection Society (1991) and the Hellenic Congress of the Surgical Infection Society
(1997). President of the Surgical Infection Society of Greece 1999-2003. I am
member of many committees concerned with Medical Training on Undergraduate and
Postgraduate level.
