Lunch Order Instructions:
Circle the lunches you want on both copies (Your copy and the school’s copy)
Completely fill out the school’s copy for each K5 – 12th grade student which includes the student’s
name, student’s teacher and grade, number of lunches ordered, dollar amount you are paying, and
check number
Turn in the school’s copy with your check for the correct amount or cash in correct change only
(You may turn in one check for multiple children families but an order form must be filled out for each
child. Please clip them all together with the check and turn them in to the youngest child’s teacher.)

Very Important Lunch Information to Remember:
Shining Light uses a pre-ordered lunch program for K5 – 12th grade. We purchase supplies and food for
each time period based on the number of lunches our students order; thereby, reducing the waste of food
and helping us be better stewards of God’s money. This also helps keep your lunch costs as low as
possible.
To order lunches for this year, you must turn in a lunch order. This particular lunch order is for August
17th – August 28th. This lunch order must be turned in to your child’s teacher at open house. If you
do not turn in this lunch order by open house, your child will need to bring a lunch from home for those
days. If your child does not bring a lunch from home and did not turn in this order form by open house,
you will be notified to bring a lunch for your child before his/her scheduled lunch period that day. In an
emergency, we will provide a sandwich lunch for the same price. This rule applies not only for this first
lunch order, but for the rest of the year as well.
All future lunch orders will be due the 26th of each month by 8am to your child’s teacher with the
exception of holidays and school closings. Specific lunch order due dates are listed on the school
calendar as well as the school website. A lunch order is sent home with your child every Friday before the
lunch order is due. Lunch orders will also be available to print out from the school website,
www.slanc.org. From the home page, go to the Resource Links tab and click on “Cafeteria”. The Sept. 1st
– 30th lunch order will be given to the teachers to send home on Friday, Aug. 21st and will be due on
Wednesday, Aug. 26th to your child’s teacher by 8 am.
