Community Trust
(1)
to improve and promote the Community
(2)
to raise funds and sponsor local groups and
charities
(3)
encourage volunteers and local improvement
projects
(4)
organise festivals, events and other opportunities to
promote the Community
(5)
co-ordinate with local groups, charities and councils
and support and liaise with them
(6)
practise good governance and follow participatory
and non-discriminatory principles
(7)
to provide within Eyemouth and District recreational
facilities, or organise recreational activites, with the
object of improving the conditions of life for the
persons for whom the facilities or activites are
primarily intended
(8)
to advance education and in particular to promote
opportunities for learning for the benefit of the
general public
(9)
to advance the arts and/or culture
(10)
to advance environmental protection and
improvement in Eyemouth and District through the
provision, maintenance and/or improvement of
public open space and other public amenities and
other environmental and regeneration projects (but
subject to appropriate safeguard to ensure that the
public benefits so arising clearly outweigh any
private benefit thereby conferred on private
landowners)

to provide and assist in the provision of housing for
people in necessitous circumstances within
Eyemouth and District
(12)
to prevent or relieve poverty particularly among the
residents of Eyemouth and District
(13)
to advance community development through the
promotion of trade and industry within Eyemouth
and District for the benefit of the general public
(14)
to relieve those in need by reason of
unemployment, particularly among residents of the
Eyemouth and District, for the public benefit in such
ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to
find employment
(15)
to relieve those in need by promoting training,
particularly among residents of Eyemouth and
District and with particular reference to skills which
will assist the participants in obtaining paid
employment
(16)
to help young people particularly those resident in
the Eyemouth and District area, to develop their
physical, mental and spiritual capacities, such that
they may grow to full maturity as individuals and as
member of society
(17)
to advance heritage and/or preserve, for the benefit
of the general public, the historical, architectural
and constructional heritage that may exist in and
around the Eyemouth and District area in buildings
(including any structure or erection, and any part of
a building as so defined) or particular beauty or
historical, architectural or constructional interest
(18)
to advance the health of the residents of Eyemouth
and District, and to assist in the relief of ill health
and the provision of health education for such
residents
(19)
to relieve the needs of people and particularly those
resident in the Eyemouth and District area who
suffer from mental and/or physical disability, illness
or impairment or have particular needs by reason of
old age or current or past drug, solvent and/or
alcohol abuse, and their carers and families
(20)
to encourage, stimulate and support volunteering
principally in Eyemouth and District
(21)
to promote the rehabiliation of offenders and exoffenders by the provision of education and training,
the provision of assistance in finding work for such
persons and the promotion or support of any
project or scheme directed towards provention of
crime or delinquency
(22)
to advance education through (i)the provision and
supervision of learning-orientated activities for
school and pre-school children, (ii) the provision of
care, guidance, instruction, activities and support
directed towards addressing the special educational
needs of school and pre-school children who come
from a single parent family or other home
environment where there are necessitous
circumstances and/or to relieve poverty among the
residents of the Eyemouth and District, in particular
by releasing poor individuals (whether parents or
guardians) having the care of school and/or preschool children to attend training courses and
programmes which are directed towards the
acquisition of skills which will assist such individuals
in obtaining employment or by allowing poor
individuals (whether parents or guardians) having
the care of school and/or pre-school children to
maintain themselves in paid employment.

to advance citizenship and/or community
development (including the promotion of civic
responsibility and the promotion of the voluntary
sector and/or the effectiveness of efficiency of
charities)
to promote, establish, operate and/or support other similar schemes and projects
of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community within Eyemouth and
District.
