United Way
A new website at
www.KeepYourTaxRefund.com is helping local
residents save money this tax season, thanks to
United Way California Capital Region and its
partners. For those who need in-person help,
you can schedule an appointment through the
website to meet with a volunteer from the
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program who
will file your taxes for free, if you qualify.
Valentine’s Day
Our
Student Council is selling
Valentine candy grams for
$1.00. Please look for a flyer in
your child’s backpack if you
wish to purchase one. All
proceeds go to the school to
help fund field trips and
awards.
Please contact your child’s
teacher regarding any celebrations on this day.
Silly String Assembly
Congratulations to Mrs. Platner and Ms.
Kilpatrick’s classes for bringing in the most
money for our November Jog-a-thon! Both
classes will get to Silly String Ms. Neuhaus at an
all-school assembly.
Parent Empowerment Dinner
Our next Parent Empowerment Dinner will
be on Thursday, February
27th at Robla School. This is
a great opportunity to take
part in some training and
learn more about how you
can become active in your
child’s education. There will be a dinner, free
day care, and presentation. Students in grades
4-6 are encouraged to partake in our essay
contest for this event. Fliers were sent home at
the end of January. Please look for fliers in the
coming weeks with more details about this event.
There is no school
Monday, February 17th in
honor of President’s Day.
Friday, February 14th is a
Minimum Day. All
students are dismissed at
12:35.
Movie Matinee
Our Movie Matinee is scheduled for
Thursday, February 20th at 1:45.
This will happen immediately after
our Early Out Thursday. Please
look for fliers about this fun event!
Uniforms
Please remember to send your child in uniform
every day. Staff is working to be more vigilant
about regularly checking that students are in
uniform. Doing your part by sending your child in
uniform helps tremendously. We appreciate
your attention to this matter.
