NORTHWEST CABARRUS HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP APPLICATION This is the application packet you need to fill out in order to be considered for the Leadership class at Northwest Cabarrus High School. Everyone must fill out an application. Future Student Council and Class Officers are guaranteed a position in the class, as it is a requirement. Regardless, all Officers will need to complete the application process. However, you do not have to be an Officer or even in Student Council to be considered for Leadership. This application is for any student who wishes to be involved at NCHS by serving the school through spirit, community service, and educational activities. The selection process for the class will be competitive. Answer each question thoroughly and honestly. Any discrepancy in honesty will result in automatic termination of the application. Because responsibility and punctuality are honorable leadership traits, no applications will be accepted after the deadline. Due to the nature of the class, several skills must be mastered prior to acceptance. Several of these skills will be detected in the application itself. For example, the application must be filled out neatly, in complete sentences, and exactly as the directions specify. The Leadership Facilitator and Student Council Coordinator as well as NCHS Administration will review your application. Only the most qualified students will be selected for the class. The criteria will be judged as objectively as possible. As selections are finalized, it is possible that you may be called in for an interview. Discipline records may be consulted during the process, as well.
