GENERAL
Fundraising Concert for He Waka Kōtuia in the PAC next
Wednesday 2nd April from 7pm.
Come along and support our kapa haka group to fundraise to get to
nationals in Gisborne this year!
Lots of acts from Queen’s and King’s and the wider community.
$5 per ticket.
Tickets will be on sale in the hall at the start of lunch from Friday
onwards, there will also be limited door sales on the night.
----------------------------------------------------------WEARABLE ARTS – get busy and design and make a costume to be
displayed at the Wearable Arts evening on 15th May. Costumes must be
in by May 5th (first day back next term). See Ms Kay or anyone from
the Arts Council for info. Entry forms are available at the Student
Office. Themes are open so go wild and design anything you like.

Starting on the 3 of March, we invite you to get involved and make a doll out of all recycled
materials! Eg Plastic, paper and rags! Hand in your beautfil recycled doll by the 17th of March to
have the chance to win!

SPORT
Basketball Pre-season training for all players.

Is a winter sport, which is why nothing has happened so far this year. The good news is that
very soon there is coaching available for beginners on 4 Thursday afternoons after school,
starting THIS WEEK. Otago Squash Club will have rackets for you to use.
There is an $8 fee and Mrs Rogers (Maths) will offer transport from Queen’s for the first 5
students who ask for rides. You will need to arrange your own transport home at 5pm from
Kaikorai Valley.
If you are interested see Mrs Rogers in A19 immediately. The notice about coaching just came
out on Tuesday afternoon and it starts on Thursday!

worried about sea creatures? Please check out the sports noticeboard and sign up.
With enough interest we can get some NZ reps to come to talk to you.

Equestrian: Secondary Schools Team Event is at Outram on April 5th. Please collect
information from Ms Burden.

Netballers: add your name to the lists on the sports noticeboard but also make sure you take
a permission letter home – these are outside the sports office. The signed permission slips must
be returned before trials.
