POST-OP INSTRUCTIONS FOR INCISION CARE
INCISION CARE
Clean the incision with peroxide and apply Bacitracin ointment three times a day. Avoid
water on the incision for 48 hours. If there are tape strips present, clean as well as able in
between. You may trim these as they curl up.
BLEEDING
Slight bleeding or drainage may occur. If bleeding is brisk, call the office.
PAIN
Take pain medications as prescribed. Non-aspirin medications may be substituted as
tolerated.
ACTIVITIES
Use common sense to avoid stress or strain on the incision.
