Our thoughts & prayers are with Judy Martin in the loss of her
brother Tom Fearneyhough yesterday. Visitation will be on
Sunday at Dawes Funeral Home in Winchester from 4:00 – 7:00
p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the
funeral home.
We will dismiss today at 2:30 pm (shuttle bell will ring at 2:15).
Elementary report cards will go home with students today. High
school report cards will be mailed out sometime next week.
Teachers: Don’t forget to turn in your Grade Books, End
of the Year Report, Inventory, Textbook Inventory, & Keys
in to Cathy before you leave today!
HS Boys: If you are planning on playing football next fall, there
will be a football meeting in the GPHS chorus room this evening
at 6:00 p.m.
Elementary Awards will be in the big gym at 9:00 am this
morning.
We will be sending out summer announcements at least once a
week this summer. If you have anything that you would like in
them please email them to me or call the school 217-833-2352.
Mark your calendars!!! The Griggsville-Perry Athletic Boosters
will be hosting a "Fun at the Fair! Non-Competitive 5K Fun
Run/Walk" on Saturday, June 27th at 8:30am at the Western
Illinois Fairgrounds. More information to come very soon!! Like

updates. If there are any Boosters who would like to help out

Mark your calendars: We will be having registration for the
2015-2016 school year on Monday, August 10th from 8:00 a.m.
– 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, August 11th from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00
p.m.
This summer at the North Pike Library - Every Hero Has a
Story! Bring your child in to the library on June 17th, any time
between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to register for sessions, pick
up Reading Trackers and test their superhero skills!
SENIORS: If you need a final transcript sent to a college let
Cathy know the name and address of the college.
Two Rivers Regional Council will be taking appointments for
free school supply applications for families that meet the
requirements during the months of June and July. School
supplies will be handed out during scheduled times in early
August. In order to schedule an appointment or to see if your
family qualifies please contact the Two Rivers Regional Council
office at (217) 285-5424 or stop in at 120 S Madison Street,
Pittsfield, IL 62363. All Two Rivers programs are dependent on
funding availability.
John Wood Community College's Children's College for grades 3
through 6 (this year’s 2nd graders can also sign up this year)
still has many openings in their classes. There will be classes
the week of June 8th and June 15th at the Crossroads in
Pittsfield. This is a fun opportunity for kids in our community!

WHY WAIT? Wednesday June 3rd 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Register

Sports:
The Lady Tornadoes picked up their 27th. win of the year last
night by beating Pawnee 9-0 in the first round of Sectional play
in Mt. Sterling. Devin had 2 hits and 3 RBI's, Lynley, Peyton
and Lexi also added 2 hits each as we had a total of 11 hits.
We scored 3 runs in the second, 4 in the third and 2 in the sixth.
Hannah threw a 3 hit shutout and had 6 K's in another strong
outing on the mound. We now play Calhoun Saturday at 11:00
in Mt. Sterling for the Sectional Championship. A BIG Thank You
to everyone that came out to the game. As in every sport the
crowd always gives the team extra motivation. Let's keep this
thing going!!!!!

GRIGGSVILLE-PERRY MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Coach Stauffer Boys Basketball Camp for Grades 5th thru 8th.
July 20th thru July 24th. 5th & 6th Grades 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. 7th
& 8th Grades 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Sterling Community
Center Y. $40 for a member, $50 for a non-member.
Registration is limited to 24 participants. Camp focus will be
improving fundamentals, positive attitude, and playing hard.

Registration for the 2015-2016 school year will be on: Monday,
August 10th from 8 - 5 and Tuesday, August 11 from 8 - 6 pm.
Any student entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade next school year that
is interested in math, science, or technology, should consider
the STEM/Pre-Engineering Camp to be held in June at the
Quincy Area Vocational Technical Center. More information is

THINKING ABOUT NEXT SCHOOL YEAR: Reminder to all
incoming pre-k, K, 6th, and 9th graders for 2015-2016, you will
be required to provide the school with state required health
paperwork the first day of school.
Basketball camp registration forms are in the office, for boys
entering Grades 4-8. The cost is $30 and includes a camp Tshirt. Please return by May 28th with a $30 check payable to
Coach White.
