Leadership Fairfax Selects New Classes of Leaders
Vienna, VA – Leadership Fairfax is pleased to announce the members of the LFI and ELI Class of 2015.
The Leadership Fairfax Signature Program class of 2015 is the 27th class to participate in the community
leadership development program, which is formulated on a comprehensive 10-month curriculum of training on
leadership competencies and learning about pressing issues facing Fairfax County and the region. Classes will
begin with the Opening Days on September 19-20, 2014 at Reston Association in Reston, VA. Topics this
year will include: Education Challenges in the Mt. Vernon/Lee Districts, Aging Infrastructure and Energy
Delivery, Integrating Social Services, Preserving Arts and Recreation in an Urbanizing Landscape, and Aging in
Place and Livable Communities.
The 2015 LFI class is comprised of 40 outstanding leaders and reflects the diverse composition of the Northern
Virginia region in all aspects: gender, race, profession, company type, community involvement, and geographic
location of work and residence.

The Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) brings together motivated and energetic professionals from business,
government, and nonprofit organizations for a program focused on three pillars - developing leadership skills,
completing a community service project for a local non-profit, and mentoring from an experienced leaders.
The ELI program will begin on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Navy Federal Credit Union in Vienna, VA.
The Class of 2015 consists of 26 leaders.
