History
Weight Enforcement in Brazil
• Brazil applies low speed weigh-in-motion for
enforcement since 70’s – using bending plate
technologie;
• There are 77 weight stations spread by the national
road network;
• The weight station uses a 60 km/h pre selection scale
and a 10 km/h enforcement scale (with metrologic
approval);
• Today is in process the PNCT - National Plan of
Traffic Count and PNP – National Plan of Weighing;
Brazilian Overloading Prevention
Program
• The Overloading Prevention Program will
performe diferentes actions for reduce
overloading practices:
– Company Profiling System;
– Certification Program with road authorities;
– Intelligent Access Program;
