Arestin (Minocycline HCl 1 mg microspheres) is a locally administered antibiotic used for the treatment of chronic periodontitis and is most effective when accompanied by a scaling and root planing procedure. ARESTIN FEATURES Locally Administered Antibiotic that kills microbes involved with periodontal disease. Tasteless powder that is naturally absorbed into gingival tissue. New Microsphere Technology- allows slow release of antibiotics over a 21 day period. BENEFITS Lowers the amount of bacteria reducing inflammation and pocket depths. Treatment easily applied into periodontal pocket and does not require removal. Particularly effective for smokers.
