Converter Overview The NS off-line programming tool provides legacy database converter feature. It can convert the system data of NCP/TDE/TDA series PBX into the data for NS1000. NS1000 TDE/NCP TDA NS1000 is overwritten in new DCSYS. The data of TDA should convert into the data of TDE in UPCMC. The data file name of TDA/TDE/NCP are different depending on each device. Activation key is not transferred at the converting database. 1-2. Support Features (1) (1) Platform Replacement (TDE/NCP --> NS1000) Legacy database converter can convert to NS1000 setting data from Legacy PBX setting data. The target data of conversion is the data of only IP Trunk and IP terminal. (The data of the physical IP-GW card is not converted.) All data of numbering plan are switched to originated (New DCSYS) data since the default values are different between NS1000 and other PBXs. New setting of dial plan added in NS1000, which is not in legacy PBXs, are filled with BLANK. 2-2. Procedure of Conversion (1) After these selection, some of mandatory system setting need to be programmed, then DCSYS file for NS1000 is created. NS-Off line tool (V2.0) Menu [Convert] (1) Click. The following screen is opened. (2) Converter type needs to be selected from the following 2 types at initiation of converter application. 1) Replacement (→NS1000) 2) Converting (→NS1000+Legacy Gateway) (3) Enter the data to convert. DMSYS or TDE100/200 DGSYS TDE600 or DBSYS NCP500/1000 3-1. Procedure of Conversion (2) Depending on the data to convert, the following screen will be displayed. For TDA/E600, and TDA/E620 when the slave is connected For NCP, TDA/E100, and TDA/E200 Click. [Next] 3-1. Procedure of Conversion (3) 1 Setup Master Unit Parameter and operation are completely the same as Easy Setup wizard. A part of region should change the setting. Please refer to ‘3-2 Suffix Code’. IP addresses, type of registration and password, etc programmed on TDE/NCP are displayed by default. Converting time is estimated to take with in 10 seconds 3-1. Procedure of Conversion (4) 2 Setup Slave Unit (when the slave is connected) This operation is required in the case of source database file contains an more than 3 expansion unit setting of TDA600/620 or TDE600/620. After converting the master unit, the ‘setup screen of slave unit’ is displayed automatically. IP addresses, type of registration and password, etc programmed on TDE/NCP are displayed by default. Converting time is estimated to take with in 10 seconds 3-1. Procedure of Conversion (5) When the conversion of data is completed, the report of the result is displayed. Activation key is not transferred at the converting database Click. [Save] 3-1. Procedure of Conversion (6) The new file name should be 'DCSYS‘. Three steps can be selected. After selection, click [OK]. 1. Finish DCSYS The ‘DCSYS’ has to input. And, converted DCSYS is downloaded. Click. [Next] 2. Connection Online Mode 3. Open Offline mode When you want to edit the data. When you want to install the data to NS1000. (Go to next page) 3-1. Procedure of Conversion (7) Please install the 'converted DCSYS' to NS1000 with online mode. Menu [Utility] - [2.File] - [1.File Transfer PC to PBX] C:\Documents- - - -DCSYS Select the file name. And click [Execute]. Next This screen is displayed. Click [OK]. At last, the reset operation is necessary. Menu [System Control] - [4.System Reset] 3-2. Suffix Code Please change the setting to the area shown in the following tables.
