Naming and Representing Decimals NAMING DECIMALS If you can read it you can WRITE IT! 1st name your whole numbers (if any) 2nd read the decimal like you would a whole number 3rd find the place value of the last digit in the decimal portion of the number. Find the decimal place value name in the words, make you little marks to represent the place value. Fill in the numbers to read the decimal correctly.
