Most of my publications so far lie in the intersection between Historical Ecology, Environmental History, Long term Ecology, Ecological Theory and links with applied conservation and most recently development theory and social studies (Ekblom 2012, ongoing project). Geographically my main research focus has been on southern Africa, but I have also supervised theses from Cameroon, Sweden. I have also worked in Sweden with Environmental History and filed archaeology for many years.
