Not only did this act provide sanctuaries for migratory birds, but it also created the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission. What did it do? • This Conservation Commission was in charge of deciding what areas of land and water were good places to set up sanctuaries. The people on this commission would decide whether or not the land was worth buying. More! • Not only did this act establish a commission, it also created the Migratory Bird Conservation Fund. • This fund provided resources for maintenance of the acquired lands, the preservation of the habitats, and paid any other related expenses.
