ORLO AB LIMITED WARRANTY (EUROPEAN UNION)
1.Orlo AB (Orlo) provides this Limited Warranty for
your Orlo speakers [and original accessory delivered
with your speakers] (Product).
2.Subject to the conditions of this Limited Warranty,
Orlo warrants this Product to be free from defects in
design, material and workmanship at the time of its
original purchase by a consumer, and for a following
period of one (1) year. The limited warranty extends
only to the original end-user purchaser and holder of
this warranty and is not transferable or assignable
to any subsequent purchaser.
3.If the Product fails to operate under normal use
and service, due to defects in design, materials or
workmanship, during the warranty period, Orlo will
at its sole option, either repair or replace the Product
in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated herein.
Orlo reserves the right to charge a handling fee if a
returned Product is found not to be under warranty
according to the conditions below.
5.If Orlo repairs or replaces the Product, the repaired
or replaced Product shall be warranted for the
remaining time of the original warranty period or for
ninety (90) days from the date of repair, whichever is
longer.
Repair or replacement may involve the use of functionally equivalent reconditioned units.

6.The limited warranty does not apply to:
a.Damage caused by normal wear and tear, abnormal use and conditions, misuse, neglect abuse,
accident, improper handling, expose to moisture,
unauthorized modifications, alterations or repairs,
improper installation, improper use of any electrical source (e.g. other USB charger than the ones
referred to by Orlo), undue physical or electric stress,
operator error, non-compliance with instructions or
other acts which are not the fault of Orlo, including
damage or loss during shipment.
b.Damage from external causes such as floods,
storms, fires, sand, dirt, earthquake, exposure to
sunlight, weather, moisture, liquid, heat, corrosive
environments, electrical surges, theft or damage
caused by the connection to other products not
recommended for interconnection by Orlo.

Quick Guide
Declaration of conformity
The Orlo CUP-11 product conforms to RoHS directive
(2002/95/EC). It also conforms to WEEE directive
(2002/96/EC). The waste bin symbol means that
you shall not throw the product in the waste bin but
instead make sure it is recycled as electronic goods.
This is to secure recycling and save the limited
recourses of our fantastic planet.
The product is lead and halogen free.
Orlo does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free
operation and interoperability with all current and/
or future versions of software or hardware.
8.Orlo does not warrant the Product to be compatible with your computer, MP3 player or mobile phone,
nor does the warranty cover loss of data stored in
your computer, MP3 player or mobile phone.
9. There are no express warranties, whether written
or oral, other than this printed limited warranty. All
implied warranties including without limitation the
implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for
a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of
this limited warranty. In no event shall Orlo be liable
for incidental or consequential damage of any nature
whatsoever, including but not limited to lost profits
or commercial loss; to the full extent those damages
can be disclaimed by law.
Some countries/states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages,
or limitations of the duration of implied warranties,
so the preceding limitations or exclusions may not
apply.
10 The warranty provided does not affect the consumer’s statutory right under applicable legislation
in force, nor the consumer’s rights against the dealer
arising from their sales/purchase contract.
We, Orlo AB, with principal address Industrigatan 4,
SE-212 14 Malmö, Sweden, declare that our product
Orlo CUP-11 is in conformity with the standards EN
55022:2006 + A1 and EN 55024:1998 + A1 + A2 following the provisions of EMC Directive 2004/108/EC

4.The warranty is valid only if the original proof of
purchase issued to the original purchaser for this
product, specifying the date of purchase and serial
number, is presented with the Product to be repaired
or replaced.
Should your Product need warranty service, please
return it together with description of the circumstances constituting the defect to the dealer from
whom it was purchased or if the Product was
purchased directly from Orlo, send it to Orlo AB,
Industrigatan 4, SE-212 14 Malmö, Sweden.
Before you send the Product to Orlo, you must be
issued a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
number by Orlo.
The purchaser will bear the cost for transporting
the Product to Orlo. If the Product is found defective
reasonable transportation costs will be reimbursed
by Orlo.
Replaced parts or components will become the
property of Orlo.

How to use
1.Place the Left (A) and Right (B) speakers the way
you intend to use them, e.g. on each side of your
computer screen.
2.Connect the USB cable (C) to your computer. No
external power adapter is needed.

3.Wait until your operating system has recognised
the speakers and installed the drivers. Your operating system has recognized the speakers when the
light (D) on the right speaker is lit up. For Windows
you will most probably get a pop-up message saying
your speakers are ready to use. For Mac and Linux
you will not receive any message.
4.Make sure you set the computer audio settings to
output the sound to your Orlo speakers. This looks
different for different operating systems:

You can also use the speakers directly together with your portable media player (iPod, MP3 player or mobile phone). To
do this, just connect an appropriate cable from your
portable media player to the 3.5mm input (E) located
under the Right speaker. For use in this way you will
need to power the speakers either from a USB port
(follow instructions 1-3 above) or by an external USB
charger, offered as an accessory at
www.orlo.se/products
Note
The Orlo speakers are intended for plug and play
and do not require any additional driver installation
for Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS X or Linux. All the
drivers needed are already part of the operating
systems.
If you play from your computer through the USB
connection, the 3.5mm jack on the speakers does
not need to be used.
These speakers have been trimmed to secure
optimal sound for when your computer audio output
is set with ‘flat’ equalising, i.e. no trimming of bass,
treble, loudness or surround controls should be
activated.
Do not expose to liquids. This might damage the
speaker element or electronics.
Do not play too loud, and save your ears by not
playing crap music!

Användning
1.Placera vänster (A) och höger (B) högtalare så som
du avser att använda dem, t.ex. på vardera sida om

4.Ställ in datorns ljudinställningar så att ljudet
kommer från Orlo-högtalarna. Detta görs på olika
sätt beroende på operativsystem:

Du kan också använda högtalarna direkt med din portabla mediaspelare (t.ex. iPod, MP3-spelare eller mobiltelefon).
För att göra detta ansluter du lämplig kabel från

Observera
