False Perception
The polarization of material categories into
renewable and non renewable is misleading and
not helpful. Statements claiming that non
renewable materials are gone, once used, is false
in the case of metals.

zero waste to landfill and believe in fostering a
recycling society by engaging all stakeholders.
The vision is to have 100% of metal packaging
recycled and we have set 80% as a target for 2020

Recycled content – No benefit
Due to the overall limited availability of metal scrap, any
attempt to increase the recycled content in one particular
product would just result in decreasing the recycling content
accordingly in another.
It would also certainly result in inefficiency in the global
optimization of the scrap market, as well as wasting
transportation energy.
The focus should be on having all metals collected after use for
recycling – a HIGH RECYCLING RATE brings benefits.
