New changes to the Cambridge FIRST exam: helping our students write essays

This presentation will focus on the recent changes to the Cambridge FIRST exam. Students often find the essay
option in the writing paper particularly challenging, so we’ll look at some ways of helping them with this written
genre. We will look at how we can use model essays in class and help students discover their key features.
Enabling students to appraise and improve their own initial drafts is another important part of the writing skill, and
we will also look at classroom activities which can encourage this.

e Ned Kelly, mostrando la loro bravura e creatività. Come nei precedenti spettacoli, saranno affiancati dal coro
dell’ISIS “O. Romero” di Albino diretto dal Prof. Donato Giupponi.
