Instructional Plan Template | Slide 3 Needs Assessment 1. What is the learning problem or opportunity? • 2. Employees should learn how to not only serve guests and fulfill their job duties but to also be a resource for them on the island as well and provide programs and activities to help guests enjoy their stay. Explain the gap analysis between what is available and what should be available. • 5. Professional development courses that teach employees basic job duties such as house keeping and food preparation. What should be available? • 4. To help employees of the Baderman Island Resort better meet the needs of guests to provide excellent customer service. What is currently available? • 3. (Insert your answers to the questions below.) The current courses teach the employees basic job duties that many have learned in their new hire training. Whereas, the company is geared towards providing excellent customer service but the employees lack knowledge to enhance the stay of the guests. What is your recommended solution for filling the gap? • I recommend a course that will familiarize employees with the island so they can be an excellent resource for guests and tourists who are seeking to spend time outside of their rooms. I also recommend that employees be trained in event planning to plan programs for guests at the resort to build a community atmosphere. Instructional Plan Template | Slide 4 Instructional Goal (After reading the information below, delete and insert one instructional goal.) • What should the learners be able to do after successfully completing this instructional plan? – Learners should be able to not only perform their job duties but also be able to provide excellent customer service through their knowledge of the island and resort. This knowledge will enable employees to be resources for guests who are seeking to enjoy themselves beyond the resort amenities. – Employees will be able to refer guests to local hot spots, attractions, restaurants, and know history details. Employees will also plan events at the resort such as luaus, talent shows, and karaoke to help guests feel engaged with the community and help them have an extraordinary stay with excellent service. – Baderman Island Resort employees are already providing guests with great service. Now, they will provide excellent service with an extraordinary experience.
