Does Kobo have Book Lending like Kindle?
Kindle does offer Book Lending but there are some important limitations to be aware of.
(1) Book Lending is only available to customers in the US.
(2) Only a smaller sub-set of commercial books are eligible for Book Lending.
As a result, rather than Book Lending at Kobo we have focused on supporting open standards and were the first
to enable library lending.
Does Kobo Mini offer Library Lending like Kindle?
Kobo has been a trail blazer enabling library lending on its Kobo Wi Fi and Kobo Touch eReaders. We firmly
believe in supporting open standards and Library Lending and are working to add Library Lending on Kobo Mini as
part of a future release. As an interim workaround, you can download Overdrive to your Kobo Mini and borrow
library books: http://www.overdrive.com/software/omc/
Does the Kobo Mini connect to email?
Not as of yet. However, we’re considering adding email to the great list of tools you can use on Kobo Mini. For
now, consider sharing to Twitter or to your Facebook Timeline.

Yes! Kobo has worked with typography experts to design its own Kobo font and optimize its full selection of
fonts. Putting more ink on the page, Kobo offers the sharpest, most readable text.

Does Kobo Mini offer Whispersync? The ability to move between text and
audiobooks?
Kobo Everywhere is just like Kindle Whispersync. Your library is secure in the cloud and with free Kobo apps for
smartphones, tablets and computers you can read across your devices picking up right where you left off.
That said, we do not offer eBook and Audio book sync today. Given that you need to buy the eBook and Audio
book, seems a bit cost prohibitive so we haven’t built this out yet.

Kobo Mini has the option of 3 different coloured interchangeable backs that snap on and off easily so

silver back but you can purchase the other colours at the same place you bought your Kobo Mini, or
on www.kobo.com to have them shipped directly to you with your Kobo Mini.


Out of the box, the Kobo Mini comes with the storage capacity for up to 1,000 eBooks. If you run out
of space, simply delete the eBooks off your SD card. Don’t worry, though! Thanks to Kobo Everywhere,
your eBooks are stored safely in the cloud, so you can add them back later if you want!



8. What kind of warranty can I get on my Kobo Mini?

When you buy your Kobo Mini, you get a one year limited warranty. To find out more you can
download a copy of the warranty, visit kobo.com. If you want more than a year, you can buy a
separate two-year Extended Protection Plan to enhance your coverage. This optional add-on
provides longer replacement and repair coverage for your eReader, and covers a wider range of

9. Can’t tablets do more? Why should I choose the Kobo Mini over a tablet?

Well, it all depends on what you’re looking for. Are you a reader with passion? Do you love the look
of print on paper but want a digital solution to your mounting pile of books, all in a small, portable
body? Then the Kobo Mini is for you. You see, the Kobo Mini was made for reading. Its E Ink screen

Unfortunately, we’re not currently planning to support Kobo Pulse on either the Kobo Mini or on

and sharing your Reading Life awards and stats, and sharing your favourite passages to your
Facebook Timeline and Twitter.
