Of course, each contract will vary, so some flexibility in the application of the following guidance is perfectly acceptable. To categorise a Contract, a matrix is used to plot the Annual Cost of the Agreement, against the Level of Risk carried by your organisation. Assessing the Risk Level is partly subjective, but as a minimum you should assess ‘Risk’ against the following criteria: • Duration of Agreement. • Reputation of your Organisation • Alignment of services to your Organisation priorities/ meeting policy requirements. • Scope of services provided. • Criticality of services provided.
