This is a basic level course for all employees of KTH. The course is divided into two modules: • Environmental work at KTH (Time of study: 20 minutes) • Environment and Sustainable Development (Time of study: 30 minutes) Equality and Diversity at the CSC school Activities from the last 12 months • • • • • Start-up of the works council (2013-12-10) Local advertising of local diversity projects Meetings with Sissi Rizko around KTH joint venture in diversity Seminar on JML Sissi Rizko Involved in hiring a theater group that trained the students who works with the introduction of new students • Creating a more accessible web • Submitted proposals to the UF: • Suggestions for a more transparent recruitment process • Suggestions for reviewing the recruitment process from a JML perspective Equality and Diversity at the CSC school Ongoing activities • Broadened student recruitment- ensure that those seeking get a true picture of what it means to search for the engineering program in computer science concerning education and professional future. • Train supervisors in "Project management skills from a multicultural / diversity perspective" • Project to attract more high school students to read distance in data (Olle Bälter) • Helping the data section of the data book rooms for meetings where they program. • Check our procedures regarding discrimination and harassment • Review of the performance review templates • In collaboration with KTH central HR department create a more transparent recruitment process Equality and Diversity at the CSC school Future plans On the 4th of November the Work Council will have a meeting to produce proposals for activities during 2015. Suggestions are welcome and if you have an idea you can contact HR at humanresources@csc.kth.se Salary review 2014 Still ongoing negotiations at KTH... However, we have already started up with discussions to evaluate last year’s performance. You will be informed as soon as we get more information! The yearly summary of production The yearly summary of production (aka Årsredovisningsenkäten) will be electronically distributed to all faculty and Ph.D. students. Data will be summarized and sent for review to head of department. Your input is important – both for CSC and KTH centrally. Watch out for a survey link in your inbox. Assessment of local administration Dean´s office (aka staben) was centralized last autumn. Some adjustments left to do. We need your input to know what is working well and what to adjust in order to work better. An assessment of the local administration will hence be performed during November and December. A subset of employees and managers will be involved. To this end, we claim that nobody has yet explored how the integration of statistical and moduli space approaches can be used to model common spaces for perception and action to achieve an efficient representation suitable for learning and control. In our approach, this relates to encoding of robot motion for interaction with objects and learning of models for high-level task modeling and planning. • • • • Danica Kragic Dimos Dimarogonas Florian Pokorny Aaron Bobick Robots performing tasks through teleoperation – a human is through own motion controlling a remote robot that executes tasks in areas dangerous or not accessible by humans.
