How DROPS Works Worksite and scaffold rack Gap in grating Drop point on lower deck Scaffold pole was dropped through gap in grating to the lower deck of platform. • A cross member on a grating was identified as a dropped object concern on 26th June and subsequently removed with a plan was to replace in the next week. A ladder was in situ beside the gap. • On 29th June Scaffolders were removing poles from scaffold rack & propped one against the ladder. When released from the Scaffolders grip, the pole went straight through the grating gap.
