A national surveillance system for food safety risks has
been established to monitor food-borne diseases, food
contamination and other food-related hazards.

Foundation of Food safety risk surveillance in Guangdong
 Guangdong was one of the first 5 provinces
which joined the two networks in 2000.
广东省自2000年加入国家食品污染物和食源
性疾病监测点,是全国首批“两网”监测
的5个省份之一
 Now the whole province has built 27
surveillance sites (with 21 at prefecture level
and 6 at county level)
