Agriculture Development Plan
(2012-2016)
The ministry of agriculture and cooperatives
has a draft of five-year Agriculture
Development Plan which aims at 3% rate of
growth per annum in the agricultural sector
and arise in the farmers’ happiness index to
80% by 2016

There are four priority areas:
- Raise the quality of life to farmers.
- Development of agricultural productivity
and balancing between food and bio-fuel.
- Sustainable and efficient use of
agricultural resource and infrastructure.
