Preparation: Assessment of the legal situation of the property: owner, encumbrances, easements, prior rights Assessment of the legal situation of connected properties: rights equivalent to property: leasehold, erfpacht, Erbbaurecht, superficie, emphyteeusis etc. encumbrances on the property, rights of way etc. legal situation of the owners: links to marital registers, inheritance information? (electronic note to the bank?) mortgage registered? agreed ranking, amount etc.? (electronic note to the bank?) Valuation continued: values of comparable properties, transactions etc. maps photographs For German banks, EULIS can not replace in situ inspection, but can reduce the costs and make inspections more efficient. EULIS can be used for the information for periodic re-assessments. Should the format of EULIS information be standardized for all countries? Standardized information is only useful, if the content of information is really the same. otherwise, it can be misleading.
