FI RST CALL FOR PAPERS
I EEE TEN CON 2012 is the premier international technical conference of I EEE Region 10 (R10), the Asia Pacific
Region. The I EEE R10 consists of 57 Sections, 6 Councils, 21 Sub-sections, 583 student branches and over 500
Chapters. With a membership of 73,000, it is one of the largest regions in the I EEE. TEN CON , held annually since
1980, provides an important forum for researchers and engineers from industr y, and professors and graduate students
from the academia to network and to discuss new ideas and development in emerging areas of electrical and
electronic engineering, computers science and related topics. Prospective authors are invit ed to submit original
technical papers for presentation at the c onference and publication in the conference proceedings.
TEN CON 2012 will be held in the historic island of Cebu, Philippines from November 19-22, 2012. The conference
will feature plenary and invited talks by eminent scientists and engineers, tutorials, paper presentations, poster
sessions and industrial exhibits. I nvited speakers shall discuss the latest developments on advancing technology for
humanity – a major theme of the I EEE.
The oldest city in the Philippines and known as the “Queen City of the South”, Cebu City combines the thrills of a
bustling metropolis with the charm and coziness of a small tropical town. H ome to pristine tropical beaches, sweet
mangoes, rattan and buri furniture, costume jewelry, native handicrafts and modern industrial technology parks, Cebu
City offers the perfect venue for TEN CON 2012.
SCOPE
Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers on, but not limited to, the following topics: Power

Paper submission starts on March 1, 2012 and will be managed through EDAS: https://edas.info/12119. Paper length
should be a maximum of six (6) pages including figures, tables, references, and appendices. Please use the standard
I EEE conference proceedings t emplates for M icrosoft Word or LaTeX format on A4 size pages found at

All papers submitt ed in the conference will undergo rigid peer review process. Accepted papers will be published in
the TEN CON 2012 Conference Proceedings and in I EEE X plore, for which at least one author is required to regist er
for the conference at the ful l rate.
