The mechanical engineering curriculum includes
 foundation courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and design




graphics
courses in energy conversion, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics,
mechanics and strength of materials, metallurgy, design, and
computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM)
The laboratories used for this program are furnished with state-ofthe-art equipment
Capstone projects will involve industry supported design projects
Internships will be coordinated with industries in the Greater Antelope
Valley region.

This degree program prepares graduates for high level
engineering positions in
 design, development, research, applications, and operation in the
fields of communications, control systems, digital signal processing
systems, electromagnetics, digital and analog electronic circuits,
physical electronics, and power systems




Applicants meeting all of the following requirements will be
ranked on transfer GPA and offered admission based on
spaces available.
 Have a minimum, overall college GPA of 2.50 or higher in all
transferable college course work attempted.
 Complete a minimum of 60 transferable semester units by the end of
prior Spring term for Fall entrance.
 Your rank in the pool will be determined by the quality of applicant
pool, and this may vary from year to year

This is a self-support program. The entire program is
operated based on tuition income and industry support.

Cost per unit is $495
Cost for 3 unit course is $1,485
Cost for typical semester (FA/SP) with 15 units is $7,425
Cost of typical summer semester with 6 units is $2,970
Total estimate for the 2.5 years with 75 units is $37,125




** Tuition at CSULB Long Beach campus for 2.5 years with summers would cost $16,845 for a CA resident.
** Housing & meal plan at CSULB Long Beach campus per year is $10,224. This totals $42,405 for 2.5 years.
