Stjørdal får en ny skole i fra høsten 2013 – Fagerhaug International School, godkjent av Kunnskapsdepartementet som Internasjonal skole i oktober 2012.
Denne konvolutten inneholder informasjon om Fagerhaug International School og Fagerhaug Oppvekstsenter og distribueres som informasjon til alle familier med barn i alderen 5 – 9 år i Stjørdal Kommune. Vi er stolt av å presentere Fagerhaug International School og vi tror dette skoletilbudet blir en viktig tilvekst til kommunen vår.

Alle som ønsker det, kan bli elev ved Fagerhaug International School. Man må ikke ha engelsk som morsmål for å begynne, men man må som foreldre ha motivasjon for at sine barn skal bli en del av et internasjonalt miljø, med sterkt fokus på språkopplæring. Undervisningen vil i all hovedsak foregå på engelsk, med nødvendig tilrettelegging for de barna som vil trenge det.

A new school is opening in Stjørdal the autumn of 2013 - Fagerhaug International School, approved by the
Ministry of Education as an International School in October of 2012.
This envelope contains information about Fagerhaug International School and Fagerhaug Oppvekstsenter. The information is distributed to all families with children ages 5-9 in Stjørdal Kommune. We are proud to present Fagerhaug International School and we believe this international school is an important addition to our community.

Everyone is welcome to apply to become a student at Fagerhaug International School. There is no need to be a native English speaker, however, you need to have a desire to be part of an international community, with a strong focus on language learning. Teaching will mainly be in English, with the necessary adjustments for the children who need it. In addition to English, the school will maintian the same number of class hours in Norwegian as the
Norwegian National Curriculum requires.
In Norway you have the choice between private and public education and it is easy to switch from public to private school. The only requirement is to submit an application form. After the acceptance, Fagerhaug International
School and the public school will ensure the transfer is conducted in the proper manner. We encourage parents to contact their school to inform them of the change in schools to ensure a process that is as smooth as possible

All students at Fagerhaug International School, that live more than four kilometers from the school, are entitled to free school transportation within Stjørdal Kommune. Students can be assisted on the school bus from Stjørdal.
