Hertfordshire County Council www.hertsdirect.org £300 Pupil Premium Plus: Post-LAC £1900 for Post-LAC will be payable from April 2014 onwards for children who have left care on an order : • under a Residential Order on or after 14 October 1991 (under the Children Act 1989); ( to be termed family arrangement order) • under a Special Guardianship Order on or after 30 December 2005 (under the Children Act 1989); • adopted from care on or after 30 December 2005 (under the Adoption and Children Act 2002); • The parent must self-declare their child’s status to the school, providing supporting evidence (e.g. an adoption order); and • The school must record on the January School Census that it has a child on roll who meets the above criteria. • Payment is made by the School Funding Agency • Accountability will be as for Pupil Premium for FSM Hertfordshire County Council www.hertsdirect.org The Pupil Premium Plus and current CLA • For children in Reception through to Y11 • Payable from the first day of the care episode by the Virtual School • The primary objective of the funding is to boost attainment and encourage accelerated progress • £500 paid termly to schools but not ring fenced • Paid to all schools including Special Schools and Independent Schools • There will be an additional central ‘pot’ for exceptional needs or innovative strategies to promote progress accessed via the Personal Education Plan (PEP) • The funding allocation allows for differentiation to take account of individual need • School together with Virtual School to decide how best to use the premium to meet the educational needs of the child • Rationale for spend must be discussed during the PEP with detailed targets and impact documented • The Head Teacher to sign off the completed PEP and Pupil Premium Plus allocation Hertfordshire County Council www.hertsdirect.org The Hertfordshire Policy For 2014- 2015, there will be two strands to the Pupil Premium Plus. Additional funding Schools can apply for additional funding. Spring 2015 £500.00 Core Funding £500.00 per CLA per term will be triggered as long as the PEP targets are focussed on accelerating progress Autumn 2014 £500.00 and is costed appropriately.
