If, at the conclusion of the six weeks of probation, the student again earns below a 70%, the committee will reconvene to determine if Pre-AP is the appropriate placement. STAAR Tests STAAR (for all grade levels): If a student does not meet expectations on any section of STAAR (2013-2014), the student will be scheduled into the appropriate accelerated instruction lab class. This policy is strictly enforced. Please make sure you choose classes carefully and that you understand the schedule change policy. Schedule changes will not be permitted in the first week of school unless you are: * enrolled in a class twice * enrolled in too many or too few classes * need to move from Pre AP to on-level or vice versa No schedule changes will be permitted after the 2nd week of school unless initiated by a school official. 4. The titles are posted on the district website, and students should be notified by their 5th grade Literacy or middle school English teacher. Summer reading will be incorporated in learning the first six-weeks of class. Parents can also contact the counseling department of their child’s respective campus during the summer.
