Poverty Eradication:
Access to Land, Access to Food

Exploring viable and ethical solutions towards poverty eradication and sustainability, in view of the post-2015
development agenda and Milano EXPO2015 - Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.
The program builds on a multidisciplinary perspective, including:
. Poverty, inequality and food security
. Right to food as a human right
. Governance of Tenure, land conflict management
. Access to land: supporting women’s and indigenous rights
. Food safety and reduction of food losses for promoting food security, health and environmental sustainability
. Water management and rural development.
The Summer School is a 25 hours course, including lectures, group work and open discussion held at ASERI
building, a XX century villa in Milano city centre. The Faculty of Scienze politiche e sociali, Università Cattolica del
Sacro Cuore, and ASERI Masters’ Courses award 3 ECTS credits.
Experts from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Land Coalition (ILC), Geneva Academy
of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and International
Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC).
